Tal I know your GT-R is sick but I have to agree, AMGfan's car is the high exalted most badass king of all GTR-Dom. Every time he signs on to NAGTROC all active members get a PM to bow down and grovel.

you realize the p700 kit for the gtr is like $15,000 right? thats a far cry from "Give the GT-R 700hp, which wouldn't take much work or money"
unless you have a money tree in your backyard
and if you do then you can just get a lambo and throw the 1500+hp kit on it.... it doesnt cost much more ![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)

We can get a GTR to 650-700 crank HP for less then 10K

Haha, thank you man. Jon's car is just outrageous. Kill modes for the street, strip and road course... All with appropriate aero for each situation.... Wheel sets. interior creature comforts. Full weight. I'm blown away.

First of all, thanks guys for the kind words. It was nice to deal with stand up guys like the Switzer Team...Tal...from everything I've heard...you are definitely in good hands with your Godzilla. Plus you have great taste...our cars are considered ugly by some folks...I just think its mean looking (= not pretty) and nothing out there looks like it...even in stock form. I didn't buy it to look pretty...
Yes...it is not cheap to maintain...but then again neither are Porsche's or Mercedes...esp out of warranty. A 2012 or 2013 GT-R is so badass out of the box...drags or curves...not much can touch you esp. at that price point.
Before I go...my GT-R is not only a straight line driver...it was built to take turns and hit apexes...granted it'll probably be better taking them @ "valet mode" (lowest setting on 93octane = 750awhp) but we shall see...it is nice though to be able to switch from 750awhp to 1000awhp (on 93) by pressing a couple of switches...or 1000awhp to 1300awhp on race fuel.
Just a teaser...another set of shoes that Katana can wear out on the town...custom center caps still being worked on...
On Pilot Super Sports...20" Switzer wheels...

Friend of mine in DC has the GTR and loves it. He use to be a pro rally racer in Europe for many years. In fact his wife was his spotter in the next seat over. All that ended when kids arrived !!
I have another friend that races at several of the tracks here in Atlanta and is a pro teacher and has the Cayman R tricked out with many GT3 upgrades.
He said at a recent event there were several GTR's and they were wicked fast. What saved most of the drivers though was all of the driver assist electronics the car has which keeps it on the track. He said all of these drivers if they were in a GT3 or GT2, they would have hit walls and been all off the track especially in the corners.
I think the car for the price is awesome similar to what you get with the Vette ZR1.
I am just not a fan of the GTR styling. But most people will agree the car is a beast.

I can tell everyone that the GTR is in fact no joke. I have a Switzer R911 porsche and have an sl65 with the 750hp kit. E55 with the vrp vr 675 kit, 2012 E63 with mhp ecu. I can say that my GTR is in fact my favourite car. At first i wouldn't even look at one because it wasn't german. Then i just jumped right in and went for the Switzer ultimate street edition and that was it, the thing is a monster, simple to drive and drive hard and fast, makes my porsche feel like a scooter. Like they say the GTR makes u feel like an amazing driver, the GT3 makes u an amazing driver, that may be true, but ill take the feeling like an amazing driver any day. Anyone even thinking of one should buy one! Just get a sick 800hp+ kit for it. Think they should have came stock with 800+ they can handle the power easily.

The new GT500 is very impressive. Throw on a Kenne Bell S/C on that when they become available and you're easily pushing 1000HP. Maintenance is cheap as well and the car retails for $50K so it's WAY less expensive than every other car featured in that video except for the Suby. ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
It's definitely on my, "Future ride" list especially with a Kenne Bell on it. (That's the S/C that Shelby himself picked for his Super Snakes.
The GT500 is no joke! Affordable to buy, cheap to maintain and pretty reliable overall.
Thank you for sharing that video, made my morning!![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

No offence but you can not compare a GT500 with a GTR. It isn't the HP #'s that make the GTR such an amazing car. Like the engineer from Ferrari says, "we really don't know how the GTR goes around the nurburgring so fast" put 1k HP in a GTR ad brakes some lowering springs and sway bars and your competing with a vyrone.

The GT-R stock is an amazing machine...heavy and only a face a mother can love but still amazing for all it's faults.
I asked Switzer to push the boundaries of their max package at that time (R1Kx) but still maintain safety, reliability, and power...keeping in mind I would be taking the car on occasion to the drag strip AND road racing.
I had the show but not the in your face go that I wanted...my bucket list included a car that I would just go ***** to the wall with...this was my choice. I was thinking of a Heffner Ford GT or a UGR Gallardo...but the GT-R got me just because stock I could take both the Ford GT and Gallardo (stock vs. stock).
The engine, drivetrain, and rear axle have been upgraded to handle the quarter mile but the addition of AP J hook rotors, Switzer monster heat exchangers, Switzer Nano brake pades, CCW road racing wheels, R888's, Aeromotions S2 dynamic wing, Aeromotions front splitter, and keeping the GT-R at it's lowest 93octane boost setting (approx. 750awhp...changes can be made on the fly)...make this an overall package.
The grip, braking, downforce, and balanced power was our goal for the road racing track...I'll let you know if we got the formula correct. I'll be heading to Daytona and PBIR later this fall to try my hand at some track work.
I never wanted a one trick pony...I think C2Design (interior/exterior design and work) and Switzer (engine/transmission/etc...) accomplished this and more...
Jon
PS My bucket list is down to 2...
...an exotic and a 67-69 Camaro.

The R35 GTR is a wonderful machine to use on a track. The 2012 with revised updates in power and launch control really gave the GTR the edge.
You cannot harness all of the GTR's technology until you hit a road course. Although the computer does most of the work, the GTR's 4wd system is really intense. You've never seen something so heavy react and move the way a GTR does on a race track.
The GTR makes the average person look like a great driver. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. The Z06 carbon is also a good competitor to the GTR on a road course but is completely different in terms of chassis & feel.
