CLS55 AMG
so what's wrong with my buddies car then? i wanna help him make it faster. He bought a JB4, downpipes and injen dual intakes. we installed all of those. then he also did some mod to his exhaust so the valve is always open. keep in mind his car is a convertible, so it's heavier than the other 335's. What map should he be running on the JB4? we don't have E85 here, so he just runs 94 octane. should he get a new intercooler?

Stock Sl65 amg vs fbo 335i with meth, stock turbos.

I'd be down to run a stock e55 to prove my point and my claims. Already did that with the local e60 m5 guys lol.
upgraded heatexchanger and pump will only hlep the car not heat soak as fast and a fully healthy running stock car with WORKING pump will not heatsoak that easy and does nothing for adding any more power.

you dont have to come here and tell us what a 335 can do bro and you dont see us posting the kills we do over on the other side.

we know what there capable of and respect there platform. If you run into a stock one make sure his pump is working and ask him what his intake temps are and see how you do.

Its a drivers race

ohh and how does 100oct do nothing when the kid was running more timing for it in his tuning,do you think a modded 335 owner runs race gas and not use a race gas map lmfao

At that time cobb didn't have race gas maps out. In fact, they just recently released the race gas maps less than 2 weeks ago. So all the maps before then were for 93 octane lol. So yes, the 100 octane benefitted his timing by cleaning up corrections the ecu would make, but it didn't allow him to run more boost, which is one of the main points of race gas.

I honestly was considering making the same move as joshboody made from 335i->e55. That's why I was on here in the first place, doing research. Just so happened to click this thread title after seeing it and saw a little misinformation lol. Most of you guys are on point though with what you say about the n54 cars.

Well I found a 2005 e55 in flint mica grey that looks nice. I'm a bit picky with options, but this one has everything except cooled seats lol. 64k miles and 26k asking price. Not too bad. Ever since the e63s came out price has been dropping on e55's lol.

Where do you live... im sure that could be arranged for a friendly comparison.

Ha! you're funny!

You only had about 170+ HP on the Mach One...but be careful its the stock looking 5.0s that will bite you. Shelby Stangs now roll out the showrooms with 700+ HP, and any new GT with a blower will clean you up!

You picked your battle wisely!
