I destroyed a modded 335 as well. Catch up with him later and he told me he basically had every mod and asked what I had done.. told him stock and his jaw dropped. lol

yeah i actually did end up having a bad pump, fixed now and made a huge difference.

Take that intake off!

I raced Aknight with a similar setup when he was stock and I had a tune and shorties and he put a car on me. That intake is killing you although it sounds nice.

Get your car dynoed at turbociv's and swap the intakes. I bet you make more with the stock air box and intakes. Your just sucking hot air off the motor with the one that is on there now.

I honestly cant believe how much of a difference that intake made.. I knew it would be sucking in hotter air, but at the same time was surely getting more volume of air than the restrictive intake tubes..

Hows the new rig? You got a tune on it yet?

Nice win. Forget about weight and what he had and what you had.
In the end, he was checking out your tail lights so that is all that matters !!
I'm sure he got home and went online to see what he has to do to go quicker !!!
Nice post.

I newfound respect for those things. My buddy have me the keys to his freshly tuned X6M the other night. Those tanks can surprisingly haul some mail. And look good doing it.

We should all get up to NED in the next couple of weeks. The tank should hold its own against all the AMGs... I hope to see all of your tail lights eventually, just dont be sleeping at the tree.

Great Kill man! My wife has a 335xi and we have the JB4 and Full Exhaust intakes and HPF intercooler... She ran a 12.3 @113 or 114 and the car went into limp mode and back to 7psi at the 1000 ft mark. So it might have picked up .5-1 tenth. They are pretty quick. We are upgrading her turbos in the next few weeks and should make around 500 wheel. They run mid-low 11's then.

I killed a 335 with a front mount and exhaust. Possibly a tune and a few other little things.

Pulled a CL63 6.3 liter car by half car from 50-120 on a dead even start.

Killed a V8 M3 with the LOUDEST exhaust I have heard on anything. This was in an S55. I was quite surprised with this one.

Funny I stumbled onto this thread! The only reason I am here is because im considering picking up an 05 e55 amg and trading in my 335i, but.....LOL. Your buddy needs to learn how to drive! FMIC? Meth? E85 mixed with regular 93 octane? Theres a lot more power on the table once you have done intake, tune, and downpipes....

13.4 is what 335i's have run stock. My 2008 335i with just a tune, 93 octane pump gas, and intakes went 12.70's @ 110-111 mph in 95 degree heat with a 2.2-2.3 60 ft.

I know how fast modded 55k amg cars can be, so i'm not "hating" or anything. 335i's have done mid to low 11's on stock turbos with all the bolt ons, meth, and e85 mixed with 93 octane pump gasoline. The 335i you raced most likely had similar mods to mine (all the bolt ons, no meth, e85/93 mix, stock exhaust) , as I've run with cars that trap in the 120-122ish range. I've actually been trying to find a local md e55, to do some comparision runs in mexico with (stock or just pulley and tune). Maybe help influence my decision a little.

there is no bolt on 335 that can keep up with 600-620rwt from 2000-4000rpms we pull 2-3 cars the second the race starts.

I ran a maxed out 135 running the latest proceed with a front mount, racegas,no cats etc and the kid had shiv on the phone sending him custom maps to try out at the track.

His best run was a low 12 and was trapping 114-115 and I was trapping 123-124 the same day.

The kid told me he had every possible thing done other than swapping bigger turbos in and was shocked when I told him I still had stock mid section and cats on the car.

I guess he either didnt know what he was talking about or was lying? I dont really know too much about procede cars, but the jb4 and cobb cars are doing 117-120 mph with stock turbos. upgraded turbo cars are around 126-128 mph. Regardless, a heavily modded e55 amg would beat 99% of stock turbo 335is.

This was at newengland drag way that's known for having very low traps.

I raced him on the way home and pulled hard and shut down around 90

he wasnt lying I saw the meth tank in the trunk and the car had a bunch of body kit mods done also, prolly dumped about 15k into it.He had his laptop hooked up to it and was loging it while using his cell phone to tether it to shiv so he could tune it on the fly.

I wonder what was wrong with it then. I don't run any meth and I'd put those numbers to shame. Your car is no doubt faster, but you woulda though it would have hung with you a little better...I have raced stock e55's before (both healthy and unhealthy) and have walked pretty easily. If he had everything done like he says, he should have put up at least somewhat of a fight lol

You did not walk no stock healthy e55 bro,3 of my boys have modded 335i's and I know exaclty what they can do and like I said our trakc has low trap speeds so his car would be about 2-3mph faster at other places.

a healthy stock 55 is putting 420-440whp and 460-470rwt on a dynojet and bone stock 55s have broke into the 11s

here ya go man

cobb tune runing 100oct vs a bone stock 55

here is another with JB3 1.4, BMS dual cone intake, helix FMIC, AR downpipes vs stock 55

Lol seen those vids before. They are all posted on ***********.com. That first vid had a cobb stage 1 car (100 octane does nothing to make the car faster, just cleans up timing corrections) and the e55 had an upgraded pump and heat exchanger. The guy with the e55 actually had a 335i before he got his e55 I think. Joshboody is his name I believe.

Stock Sl65 amg vs fbo 335i with meth, stock turbos.

I'd be down to run a stock e55 to prove my point and my claims. Already did that with the local e60 m5 guys lol. And this isn't just a "my car" thing lol. There are several 335i's in the area who could take a stock healthy e55 amg.
