**Those of you who have Hankook Ventus V12's**
Hey Guys-
I am getting vastly conflicting info on these tires. I've read a dozen or so reviews and have searched this site to get the straight scoop from owners.
Will you please weigh in with your opinion if you have actually owned or won these tires on your car?
I'm in Seattle and my CLS55 is used as a DD I drive on the 'spirited' side. I will put ~25k per year on the car so cost-effectiveness is a consideration. The new tires will be mounted on 20's. I'm going 255/30's in the front and 305/25's rear.
Car is lowered with a Renntech EML.
TIA

did you get a good alignment done on your car? my CLS goes through rear tires like no tomorrow due to the extreme camber wear on the inside of the tire

I'm glad to hear that you have been happy with them through 6 sets though!

I've personally seen quality problems with hankooks (various kinds, not sure if any were V12) where the sidewalls would have belts break and bulge out. I question their build quality and wouldn't run one on a car that I'd do any kind of high speeds with.

I have v12s (my first set) and am very happy so far. I do think the PSS are better, but how much is questionable and generally the PSS are a lot more expensive. For a high mileage daily driver, I think the v12s are a great choice.

I have V12's in front and RS-3's out back. I'm very happy with how well the RS-3's stick out back ( better than my $1400/pair Pirelli P-Zero Corsas did ). As for the V12, no complaints so far, and when the rears dissolve I will likely get them for the back as well.

I'm in Seattle and just put on 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. This is my 3rd set across different cars and you can't beat the tire for the price. My forgestars had generals on them and they were terrible.
The v12's are really good in the rain around here.

I purchased the V12's last year. The tires preformed very well for me but the rears lasted only 11000 miles till I hit the ware bars. My car is a daily driver with a few trips to the track. I just replaced tires with Michelin PSS because the have a 30000 mile prorated warranty so in in 11000 miles my next set will cost allot less.

Yes - I've read many reviews and not all were positive. There's a fair amount of complaints of the tire not having a stiff enough sidewall and of feeling squishy or marshmallowy into corner but they were not all on MB specific cars and hence the post.

There is NO PERFECT TIRE! So I am not sure what you are looking for before deciding to purchase these. Unanimous decision? Not going to get it here, there, anywhere.
How about you buy them new (never buy dismounted used tires, issues) and post up your observations.

I have had good luck with the V12 (4 sets to date), but I go through tires fast. They seemed to get a little slick after a few heat cycles making it difficult to launch at street lights. You know....
I just changed tires to the Federal 595's. They are super cheap, and so far I REALLY like them. New rubber is always nice, but I like these as good or better that the V12...

Removed them after 8k miles. Couldn't stand the impact from highway joints. Replaced with Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 Touring Tires.

I am using them right now.. really no comment as I only have only driven my E55 about 1500 mile for the last 1-1/2 years. so far it I like it better than PS2 and RE050A.

I am running a new pair of the V12 rears 285/30/19 (Toyo T1rs in my sig) because my friend threw them on for less than 500 installed. I echo the comments above, Toyo T1r's IMO are night and day better in every aspect including looks and have a nice aggressive rounded track which also seamlessly tucks into the wheel wells of lowered rides. V12's have a square type track and just never feel planted or stable to me which is my biggest gripe but is a decent tire for the price point, T1r's are about the same price though. I will try PSS next or try to find my t T1r's on the net somewhere because they are discontinued but it looks like the Toyo Proxes 1 are the closest replacement. Keep in mind I am in Southern Cal and drive in hot, dry weather year around

Good tire, I get 7-10 k from the rears and 15 k from the fronts. I am in PA and the car sits from Dec to March. OK in wet, OK dry. Good Value. After reading Vaders review I will try the Toyos' next. I tear up the rears too often to pay big $$$$ for them.

If you're going to track or drag strip these aren't for you. But for streets they're very nice performance tires. I've got them on my Z. It's been over a year and put close to 10K miles on them and wear is minimal and they're still quiet

FWIW, I used to have Toyo T1R's all around and they wore really quick, not only that but they stuck great when new but once they got to 50% they were horrible...like driving on grass.
