1/4 Mile Guessing......
Hey guys we rented Ubly dragstrip on Friday and we are taking the E55 there to stretch out her legs! Trying to guess her 1/4 mile ET and Trap...
Here is the weather...
http://www.weather.com/weather/wxdetail2/USMI0841
Here are the mods done to the car...
Kleeman Stage 2 Pulley and headers and tune, 80mm TB, First Cats GONE! and the Newer SL 55 or 65 wheels...(hope they are lighter) Tires are BFG Sport Comp 2 275/35 18 in the back...
I know that the 60ft is the flyer if we can baby it out of the hole and not haze the tires may be a 1.7-1.9 60 ft in her.
What are the guesstimated times and mph???
I am really getting hyped up for the track and this is a fun way to make the day go faster....

If you can get the 60ft in the low 1.70 you should go mid 11's at 118-120. Make sure you launch the car with the suspension raised to help get better weight transfer to the rear. Really helps on street tires.

You really have to baby that beast. On streets a best pass could be 11.7@121ish. I saw a 11.9 with tune, shorties, street tires. Launching is going to be the hardest part. Get some DRs and you see a low 11.
11s on streets is no easy accomplishment and it seems to just get harder with more mods. I think youve got it but dont get frustrated if it doesnt come up on the board. You will have perfect race weather though im jealous.

We could make it a wager... $1 to anyone that wants to make a guess...I would put my paypal address send in the money i hold it all then best pass of the day will be the determining time slip and who ever was the closest gets the pot, or have $1 et and $1 for mph???... and we will get it on video and have the time slip to prove it....
thoughts?

First time at track in this car I assume, or with these mods atleast. I say 11.9@120 in that weather with your mods. Track prep will make or break you which more times than not a test and tune will have crummy prep (vht at the line). If you can some how fight the urge to plant the throttle and manage to get under a 2.0 60ft you should get in the 11s with the power the car should make in that cold weather.

How exactly do you guys launch these cars...what mode(s) for the trans and is traction control on...assuming street tires. i am going to run mine soon just for some fun and I am CLUELESS on these cars at the track...any brake boosting or just nail it? I know on the street, w/ TC on...the light on the dash blinks a bit and she's gone. ( yeah, I semi-hijacked the thread...sorry!)

I always do better with ESP off and allowing a little wheel spin by feathering the throttle. If I keep ESP on then the tires start to spin even a little when feathering throttle and power is cut from ESP and the 60ft gets worse which then kills my 1/4 time.
