Sorry to hear but Craig and the guys at BIP took great care of me and I just picked my car from them on Wednesday. They pulled my motor pinned a 195 ASP, 82mm TB, headers and a tune. Again they are great to work with!!!!

Good luck.

So that I am understanding this right. The bolt loosened up, it came out of the crank a few inches (still had some threads in the crank) then the pulley slid off the crank and then was floating around on the bolt that was still partially in the crank?

You have a rough idea of how many miles you have put on the car since the pulley was installed? Kinda crazy that it has been so long then decided to come off now. The pulley on my car was done at Malone's in Marietta, Ga (just north of Atlanta) also. I bought the car from the guy Adam who manages the place. Mine has about 12,000 miles on it.

yep was able to unscrew the bolt by hand and once i took fan shroud off i could get the pulley out...

and had it installed in march so about 10-15K miles since i drive back to FL a lot

oh and also mine was installed at malones auto as well so you might want to check you torque on your pulley

Hmm....time to recheck my torque...lol.

I highly doubt the key survived but at least the snout looks perfect. Time to pin the pulley this time around.

Wow did you get lucky or what. Looks like you will be back on the road in no time. ARP has a bolt for the crank pulley now. Might be a good idea to use that and just torque it and forget it.

just got back from the long day, got my sweet toyota camary rental car lol... steve and i got the car down to BIP in atlanta (thanks steve your a life saver!) and the key def sheared off but crank looks fine so likely will pin it and go with 180m welded style pulley they have there since my 172 is not the welded design.

craig- saw your car in the garage... those wheels look sweet on your car! making me think i might need a set of those on my car in the future!

got to ride in steve's 911tt , after we dropped of the truck/trailer, on the way to airport to pick up my rental car.... that car is sweet! and reaffirm's my desire for a 911tt with 600hp
