after seeing that 65amg at bip really started looking at the cl65's too since i can get one with 41K miles and warranty... might just want to get my car back on the road, sold and into a v12tt slap a tune on it and some intercoolers and no more worrying about pulleys and s/c belts lol

different pully, not going to reused current one as EC told me to send it to ASP and they will send me a new one... but i dont want to wait for it so i will probably use one of BIP's pulleys that they get from ASP so i can be back on road asap and then when i receive the new 172M pulley from ASP, i will just sell it since i wont need it

Nope, you'll only have to worry about the hundred other things that fail in those cars...lol.

I believe not many warranties will pay for ABC components.

First drive a V12 TT, it does not give you that feeling like you have been violated from behind

They are way more tame down low than the M113K motor, but pull like a train up top. The other thing that you have to think about is, if you think we get heat soaked quickly, that platform is like a virgin seeing Brad Pitt for the first time, over heating ovens and extreme temps after a couple pulls.

yeah i will def have to get some seat time in a tuned v12tt before i take the plunge and who knows, maybe i will actually like my car when the s/c belt isnt falling off all the time

plus i will be running a 180 welded ASP pulley now so maybe the extra 8mm will keep my happier with my car

Bummer this happened man. Another example to stay away from crank pulleys if you ask me. These cars still rip with a good tune and some LTHs.

Hope the 180mm stays on.

Nice running car, good parts, good people, and some good beer to top it off.

So good to see a positive ending on this one.

Did you re-tune for the bigger pulley?

drove the car about 1000 miles this weekend after getting it back from BIP and so far so good! def feels a little stronger since going from the 172m to the 180M. the guys at BIP were awesome!

BIP dyno'd it on their dyno dynamics dyno and numbers were 455hp/ 540tq which i think would put me at about 510hp / 600tq on a dynojet which seems about right for the increased pulley size since last time i dyno'd on a dynojet with the 172M i was at 495 hp/ 540 tq.

they did a few back to back dyno runs and on the last hottest run i lost about 23hp so not to bad for just a larger heat exchanger in terms of my cooling upgrades.... might be time to look at getting a killer chiller
