Future owner needs help in Phoenix, AZ area

Been lurking around the forums for a few months now, and I have been waiting for a nice lower mileage e55 to pop up close to me in Texas. I haven't had much luck, but I have found one with everything I want for sale in Scottsdale Arizona. Was going to see if there are any fellow members in the area that could go check the car out in person for me? I've gotten tons of up close pics but we all know how deceiving pictures can be. Looking forward to getting to know some fellow benz enthusiast!

That would be awesome if you could check it out. I'm more worried about the body. Like chips and scratches that wouldn't show up in pictures.

I've gotten them down on the price some, but before we make a deal I wanted to make sure I'm not getting into a junker.

Thank you! Yeah it seems really clean and the miles are lower. The pulley and tune is a plus too. Lol

I can probably check it out for you this weekend if you want. I am about 20 minutes away, but do not mind if I have the free time.

That would be amazing if you could! I've looked at tons of pics and they say its very clean, but I would feel much more comfortable if someone who is into cars could look at it for me. I don't want to haggle on the price much more if it isn't worth it either. If you want I can pm you my number just let me know

Hi SilvertxE55, I did check it out personally about 2 weeks ago. Runs good, no funny sounds. My only complaint about the car is the dent on the rear passenger quarter, yes they are coming down on the price a bit...I just don't want to deal with that sort of dent. IMO.
Best, Steve.

Good to know! Thank you! Man I'm so thankful for useful forums like this. Is the dent seem like it would be able to be repaired paintless?

It appears that has been done already to get it to this point. To look at it straight on, you can see the added paint and clear to the affected area. It's just such a poor spot to try and fix since that whole quarter will need blending...on brilliant silver...it take a brilliant painter to do it properly. May I ask what he's down to in price now?

So this is at BMW North Scottsdale?

I was just at Schumacher Mercedes yesterday! I could've looked at it then!

I've got many errands to run today, i'll see if I can swing by there this weekend before I go out to pavilions!

Hasn't come off much and I didn't feel comfortable being out of state and all. Basically taken the $500 in dealer "doc" fees off •_• not enough for me to go for it without talking to someone in person. Sucks that I wasn't told about this repair up front.

You only negotiated $500 off? Lol, everything in life is negotiable! Remember that! Hell I usually start a couple grand below, OUT THE DOOR TOO! Then work up from there!

Yeah I shot for 22k at first and didn't have any luck. That's why I just said okay to just let me know if they decided to meet me where I needed to be. It's been there for over a month so I figured there should be much more room to move.

It does, but that's what fellow owners do...look out for one another. Look close at the site pics at the lower edge where the tail lamp meets the quarter, it's a 5" horizontal line. They should go 25k out the door. IMO

The one thing that I did really like was their 6 mo. full warranty that it comes with.
