I have a 176 with the smaller pulley up top, I ran 0.5 secs faster from one week to the next. I did have drag tires for the faster run but it was borderline traction due to weather you can see by the poor 60ft time with drag tires.
176 pulley, street tires, dyno tune 11.92, 60 ft 1.82
176 pulley, drag tires, 84mm SC pulley, UPD Belt Wrap and dyno tune 11.491 60 ft 1.74
All my other mods were the same

This is a really old thread but there was no verdict or a general consensus rose from it? I reckon since then people must have tried both ? Any thoughts to share ?

180 mm crank and 83 mm sc pulley
Hello
I'm running 180 mm crank and 83 mm sc pulley on an sl55 along with tune, k&n,headers, x-pipe, no cats, 3" pipe, and an 82mm tb.
I have a large johnson intercooler pump and an aftermarket fabtech heat exchanger.
I haven't gotten it out yet or put it on dyno.
Question 1: is the cooling that I have enough
Question 2: what kind of hp should be expected
Thank you guys

84mm upper pulley and 185 cranck pulley
Hi i have a 84mm upper pulley and a 185mm cranck pulley.
Is that a right combo?
Should be better idea a stock upper pulley and 200mm cranck pulley?
(I also have all possible engine modifications)
