Bubble in my armrest FIXED!
Recently a bubble surfaced in my armrest. I saw a how-to by another board member and they removed the leather and re-wrapped it. Looked too hard. So here's what I did.

Nice work! How many Ccs of adhesive did you use for a bubble that size?
Did the excess leak out the hole? I assume it can be quickly wiped away with a solvent to prevent a stain?

It's a water-based glue. Cures in 3 minutes. Looks perfect and I can't see a single hole at all. I poked it three times around the edge of the bubble.

This is brilliant. I wonder if it's going to work on my arm rest. My entire arm rest leather came off. Looks like a bed sheet that needs to be put in place.

I didn't really measure it. But if each line is 1 CC, then I would say about 1/4 to 1/2 CC. No, it didn't leak out. The leather is pretty flexible and it closed the hole as soon as I removed the needle. The trick for me was to pull back on the syringe a bit before removing it. I still managed to get a drop on it and it wiped right off with a moist napkin.

The bubble on mine will wrinkle if pressed so my guess is it thinner and streatched out so this won't work. I need to remove the cover and reseat. Any ideas on how to remove and reinstall the cover?

Can any one explain how these happen? I got my car back from a collision shop and saw this the same day I got it back and what looked like an elbow indent ( i can't see the indent anymore because the bubble expanded out more ) and its in the front of the middle console towards the radio and I don't put my elbow/arm in that area at all. I do know the collision shop took my car down to another shop driving and even had my radio station changed when I got my car back.
The collision center said they cannot fix it and said it wasn't them. I actually examined the middle console before I dropped the car at the collision shop and saw no bubbles before.
Do you think it randomly happens in areas or does an arm have to rest/move in that area for this to happen

Thanks for this! Followed the steps, stent some time squeezing the extra glue out through the puncture holes, seems to have worked perfectly.
I had a lot more than a bubble, about 25-33% of the top surface of the left side had separated.
