Noob questions round 2
- How much time needs to pass for the supercharger clutch to disengage again? Seems like I can get it to chirp on while slowly accelerating in 2nd and then drive normal for 20-30 seconds and then get it to chirp again. But I could have sworn I read on here that you have to stop for 5 mins or something before it disengages again?
- Everyone says the s55 intake tube is far less restrictive and it's only $15 to buy it. Well where can I buy that OEM piece at?

Sounds like your sc clutch is failing.
Might want to consider the smaller pulley/clutch assembly that is available aftermarket.
Probably that and a Eurocharged tune would be less $ than the OEM SC clutch and give you some nice HP gains to boot

Good luck!

I had something very similar when I first bought my car (and it was still completely stock) except it only happened to me in 1st gear. Sometimes when I would accelerate under moderate throttle from a stop or slow roll the car would buck violently two or three times when the supercharger engaged. I took it the my local Stealer and they tried to tell me it was the transmission that was the problem but it was obvious to me that it had something to do with the s/c clutch. It was right around the time that the smaller s/c pullies became available so I bought one along with a ECU tune and between the two it completely solved the problem. So either it was the stock clutch going bad or something to do with the tune that cleared it up but I've never had a problem since. Good luck as I know how annoying that stupid bucking is....

Here another noob question: how the hell do you figure out how to remove clips and other **** on various parts of the car without breaking them first? See picture for example.

After you take all the bolts off the top plate (of course) the one on the left hand side of your picture simply pulls straight up along with the plate it's attached to. It has a rectangular piece underneath that fits into a bracket but I don't remember anything holding it in. The one on the right requires some upward pressure to pop loose and I used a wide screwdriver on either side and didn't have any problems.

There are three (3) bolts on each side of the plate that need to be removed.
Two (2) torx screws and one (1) bolt in the center that attach to the hood release assembly that also need to be removed and then the whole top plate will lift straight up. You'll need to use the screwdriver to pry from underneath the plate where the little piece that broke on you is. Those pieces remain attached to the plate itself when removed.
Be careful of the hood release cable when you go to put everything back together as it is routed under that plate and can become pinched.
