Mod suggestions for a 2003 E55
My E55 will be here Wednesday, what mods would you recomend, and can you recomend a very good place to do the mods. I live in NYC, and would like to do the work fairly local. Thanks.

Hey Rave, congrats in advance on the E55, and sorry to hear you have to sell your IR M5 over on the m5 board.
Anways, does your E55 happen to be silver w/ straight black interior? I passed by MB of Manhattan (Park Ave) today and there was one inside the showroom.

Congrats
I too will be a lucky recipent in 2 weeks or less. I've already acquired K&N filters, a flat hood star, an Expression spoiler and CL style grille(to arrive 8/13), and will tint the windows. I like the stock rims and will likely get a spare set of rims for track use. The car will be lowered by the dealer before taking delivery and I have one more inexpensive mod I will do myself in a few weeks to be named later.

My family has bought lots of cars from this dealer, he would not have the nerve to charge over sticker, I had 2004 on order, this one came up because of a cancellation.

I am thinking of adding on an exhaust. I have had my car for about three weeks now and I love it !

'14 E63S Brabus 850/2008 M5 Dinan S3(sold)
My mod path is similar to Dr. Chills---hey anyone with a 1970 442 Conv. W-30 package is on the right track---
My plan:
RENNtech pulley and ECU--(done)
CL style grill with flat hood badge(done)
Clear bra (done)
Illuminated AMG door sills---all four doors (to do shortly)
Sport mufflers (when available)--don't want to replace entire exhaust
Stereo upgrade---upgrade speakers/subwoofer/more power--Nav in passenger visor next to vanity mirror and XM stereo in ash tray---still checking if any retrofit options are even possible. (within a couple of weeks)
F1 steering wheel (maybe)
Suspension --(wait and see what comes out)
I like the stock wheels---but Kaneman and Stephens wheels look great---I may go this route later on.

I don't think anyone is getting much over MSRP these days; I think MB is making far more that the published estimates and that it will be easier and easier to get them -- no so good for resale but oh well.
