What do you guys think of these wheels?

Bent 2 wheels hitting a pothole the other night. Total replacement was about $2500 - $800 deductable = $1700 in hand (Nationwide is on my side)

I've found 1 and 2 used ones here and there, but I could stand to have all new tires soon anyway.

What do you guys think of these (I want to stay with a stock look)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MERCEDES-E63...73fc8a&vxp=mtr

$1500 to my door, have 4 new wheels and tires, still come out ahead, and can sell the 2 wheels I have left.

My only question/concern is these are 18x8.5 with 245/40/18s front (stock size) and 18x9.5 with 275/35/18s on the back (slightly wider). Should I be concerned with fitment??

And do you know what car/year these come on stock? I know these are replicas, and I feel like i've seen them in person before, just can't remember on what car

if you scroll through the pictures they show them mounted on a black e55, looks awesome i think.

Would the extra centimeter of width really show/look strange/make a difference?

If you're going to a 9.5" wide wheel in the rear, you almost HAVE to go with a wider tire as well..... unless you're a fan of that "skinny tire / wide wheel" stretch look.

I'm running a set of CLS wheels (9.5" rear) with a 275mm tire. The fitment is awesome with the more aggressive offset and the tire looks spot-on... not too narrow, not to bulged.

You should be able to find quite a few photos of that sort of combo. Aghakuave has posted some great shots of his CLS-wheel setup in the past.

Yeah that was my main concern, stock is a 9" wide rear with 265/35s, this is a 9.5" wide with 275/35s. Wanted to know if that is pretty much a direct swap or if it would be noticable at all, but I mean a centimeter difference doesn't seem like much of an issue in the grand scheme of things. common to run this setup on these cars???

I'm sure I have plenty of aftermarket options, but I want to stay with the stock look, either factory wheels or something like these, replicas of the (I assume) updated version of what I have stock.

Depends a lot on the specific tire manufacturer

This is a stock Conti 265 vs. Michelin PSS 275:

Big visual difference IMHO.

On the 18" wheels its still pretty subtle. The wheel/tire sits quite a bit more flush than stock, but since it's a dual-spoke factory wheel most people wouldn't really be able to figure out what's different.

It's nice having that extra bit of tire back there, but I still think a set of toe-links and a better alignment would maximize the traction potential.
