Chawkins is going to Silver Dollar, Reynolds GA on Nov 17
Couple things have changed, so I have shifted my drag day to Silver Dollar in Reynolds GA from MIR.
Muscle car Evolution is having their semi annual private track day on Nov 17, so it should be a good one.
Anyone close in the vacinity is welcome to come out. The weather is expected to be nice:
As she sits now, 532rwhp/690rwtq
My race weight came in at 3880lbs yesterday, and I have the car setup as follows:
All seating out, race seat upfront only, braille battery, full exhaust, E85 with Meth, and will be using my nitrous ring on the front mount.
As usual, I will update the thread with slips and vids as the day progresses. I wont be hiding anything, so if anyone has questions on my setup, fire away.
I am going to remove my front sway bar today, and launch the car pretty hard on the street to see how it reacts. If it steers straight, and weight transfers slightly better, that is how I will run it Saturday

These are the goals I have in mind for Saturday, with our weather and track conditions, whether it is all on the same slip or different slips, I dont really care:
1/8 mile et: 6.99
1/8 mile trap:100mph+
1/4 mile et: 10.99
1/4 mile trap: 130mph+
1/8 mile et: 6.99

1/4 mile et: 10.99

Craig,
Any strategies related to rear suspension alignment?
I know a lot of guys run the car in "raised" mode to help with weight transfer, but my question is more about camber settings. Even a relatively minimal camber setting in raised mode is likely to show a lot more negative camber once the car is under power and squats down for the launch.
With these cars at the track it's really not an HP issue....it's a traction issue. It seems like you want to maintain as close to 0* of camber out back so the rear tires have the flattest contact patch possible. If you're only riding on the inside edges of the tires the tire can't do 100% of it's job.
Do you run any toe-links with your current setup? It seems like everyone that swaps the stock parts out reports a harder and more predictable launch also.....
Good luck out there.... IMHO you have certainly "paid your dues" in blood, sweat and $$$ over the last 12+ months and are deserving of that elusive 10-second timeslip.

Thanks Greg, that is probably the nicest thing you have said in all my threads, lol. We are going to try and stiffen up the passenger rear shock/airbag with a couple ideas we threw around. If we can add additional air to the bag so that when the car squatts down hard, it will have stay square, and have equal weight to both sides.
I will probably clamp off my rear brake lines too, so that I can have zero pressure back there in my burnouts, I will be roasting the tires, and dont want any brake pad interferance.
Lastly, if the track is holding my car off idle launches, I am going to launch off the stall which is around 2,200rpms. Last time I could not launch anything more than 1,200rpms because it kept pushing through the brakes at the tree. This time, I am going to use the E-Brake along with the front brakes to hold my car at the line, and squatt her down real hard before all hell breaks loose, lol. She may not like it, but I want to see how it does flashing the converter off the launch. We have played with flashing the converter on the dyno, and the TQ spike is intense, to say the least.
The car will be raised up a couple more inches from what it sits in the pic above, and will play with the raised button too.

There are scheduled to be some heavy hitter cars there, so I am sure they will prep it very well. I have a feeling we will line them up sometime in January RBJ, I think PBIR
Cant wait brotha, you are going to kill it up there!

Thanks brotha! Last year when I posted that vid of my beating that zr1, it created some backlash, lol. Was told there is one coming this year making 620rwhp, and 750 on the bottle. He is wanting a piece, so I will have my hands full.
I will text you and maybe brainstorm once I start racing homey.

Craig,
Put a baby seat in the backseat while you're in the pits. The psychological effect on the Corvette guys would be priceless!
Better yet, make a pass with that seat in there and post THAT video on YouTube.... "Fastest E55 with a baby seat installed"!
