My car is due for plugs I will get one step colder, and when we go down on the dec 1 for the dyno tune. I have a split cooling system in the car which we will be installing down there. Plus I have a HE sitting at home going to order a new Johnson pump when I install the HE. Thanks

Bro your talking **** man not cool
As a forum member you should inform people on what would be missing or needed when you are selling only certain parts from from a package pulley deal when you only want to sell a part of it.
Abviously I know I need a tune that was not the issue. You sir lied about it just to sell the item, if you would have informed me it needed more stuff I would have not bought it from you.

I lied ? show me when i lied!! ....when did i say "buy this pulley and thats all you need, nothing else needed" ????? show me where i lied!!! now you are lying and insulting me and its pretty annoying since anyone that actually knows me knows i am not shady or a liar
you dont know enough about these cars and thats the problem... you bought a pulley not even knowing what a pulley install intails. if i knew you didnt know this, i wouldnt of sold it to you as i had plenty of other people that wanted it since $400 for a new pulley is a STEAL! tell you what, since you think i needed to sell it so bad, send it back to me and i will give you the $400 you paid and then i will sell it to someone else and you can have good luck trying to find a new pulley for $400 and you will learn real quick that you got a good deal
and then you try to say that i was supposed to include a crank seal too! do you even realize a crank seal has nothing to do with a pulley install and pulley kits do not come with them???? lol call up eurocharged and see if their kit comes with a crank seal...
i suppose i needed to provide you with to correct crank holder tool and torque wrench to install it too ?
you got a $1000 pulley for $400 free shipping... quite btchin and learn a little about what you are buying before buying it... if you knew anything you would know you needed a larger belt, wp pulley, retune and torque wrench to install it.
my ad was clear as day stating pulley + bolt... it didnt promise anything else.... no lies

if you bought a new engine would you assume it came with the oil in it and install the engine and drive it without checking if it had oil? or buy radiator and then complain that it didnt come with the necesary hoses (even though it was not advertised with them but it still needs them)

that would make sense if i was selling it as a complete kit.... but i was not selling a complete kit , i was selling a crankshaft pulley ONLY

its a brand new pulley from asp so it sounds like it wasnt installed correctly.... if you want me to send it back for you to get it warrantied and another new one then i can do that for you. or you can contact them yourself and i am sure you will get another new one as thats what they did the first time i had a pulley come off my car
are you sure you shop knows the correct tq specs? if a pulley comes off its 99% chance it wasnt installed correctly... thats why my original pulley fell off- the bolt wasnt torqued to yeild

He said he lined it up just right with the key way and The torq spec he told me was 190 + 90
He said the first test run The car ran fine at low rpm when he went for the second test run at higher rpm's around 5000 that is when it sheared the key way right off and he stopped right away. And called a tow truck to tow car back to dealer. that was crazy.

Can anyone else chime in and confirm that it is supposed to be 275+90 degrees on the Ec asp 172m pulleys?
If its 275+90 then I think your shop needs to be let known of the error they made...
Let me know if I can help

I will
But I think the prob was not the bolt getting loose, but the key way was sheared in two pieces separating itself from the shaft

I believe the torque spec is 275+ 90 degrees so if ur shop did 190+90 degrees then they did not torque it correctly

if it was 190 that was way too loose and would not of stretched the bolt and it would of backed out and come off the crankshaft and sheared the keyway like yours did (and like my last one did)

And if you're pulley just came off cleanly and only sheered keyway then it should be an easy fix like mine was. You just need to make sure the crankshaft wasn't damaged. Do you Have any photos of the crankshaft snout?
The 172 pulley with the SC pulley should make a lots of power but just make sure you have the proper fueling to match it because with both of those pulleys combined you will probably be maxing out the stock fuel system And you don't want to run lean and then toast a piston

I hope the dealer will cover damages. Because its not an oem mb part they may try to use that caused the failure and not install. Which we all know is the install. The tech will tell the dealer he installed correctly.

No I'm not going to the Dyno day as I'm up in Nashville and I just recently got my car dyno tuned at BIP when they installed the 180mm pulley and saved my car from the previous shop that didnt install my previous 172m pulley correctly.

Thank for the input gaspam
Berti00 and I know the mb tech. The tech also installed all of berti00 pulleys too.
The tech said that nothing was damaged only the key way, but I won't know until Monday when I go over there and see what happened.
I really wanted to put it on and get the hp and tq up its a good combo with the s/c pulley

Dam it, it's going to cost 1900 for the repair of the sheared key way
It got pushed inside the crank

I am just going to leave the stock crank pulley alone. I hope I can get some type of credit back since it cost me 1900 for repair
Could have gotten a nice pair of kleeman headers dam!
