I bought 2 front discs and front and rear pads and sensors.

I got a good deal, and was a lot cheaper than getting from Mercedes. They wanted $7450 for the above + rear discs.

As far as weight saving, these discs are lighter than factory. But honestly with driving I can't feel any difference.

Been thinking about the same rotors for a while. Let us know about your impressions under heavy braking and extreme heat conditions.

Love the BS wheels!!

Installed Evo lightweight rotors front and rear about two years ago and about 9000 miles. Using EBC Reds (not recommended by Evosport) with many hard breaking applications from 100+ MPH and recently from about 170+ MPH. The rotors appear virtually like new; no grooves and no cracks. I have found EBC Reds to work better than any other pad on a cold rotor and our rotors are almost always cold (even ice cold) when we really need to haul down our 4K machines. Personally, I think the trick with EBC's is the break-in.

Well, thats a vote of confidence! Looks like i made the right choice!

As far as pads go, im not up with all the technical things, and its just a regular street car. EvoSport reccomended Porterfield, so i just went along with their reccomendation.

In the short time i have driven the car though, with these new discs & pads, the pedal does feel a little more spongy than it used too, but im hoping that will subside after bedding in.

Will keep you updated

These cars have the Daimler/Bosh SBC brake system which is totally "fly-by-wire". Your brake pedal is connected to a travel sensor and a pressure sensor which measures how fast and how strongly the brakes are applied. A pedal travel simulator simulates normal pedal feedback. Simply stated; our brake pedals have absolutely no mechanical connection to the brakes and the pedal will always feel the same. Another reason for the secondary battery.

Also. have you activated the SBC auto-stop feature?

As far as im aware, i dont have SBC. I did try that feature, and it just tried to activate cruise control.

From the reading i have done, i dont have SBC, it was deleted from the W211 Update

Its weird what you say about the brakes, and the fly by wire. I understand what your saying. But i absolutely felt that the pedal was spongier. (so to speak)

But i did a bit of bedding in today, and i must say, the brakes feel "back to normal" now.

If active on you car it can only be engaged when the vehicle is at a stop. Push the cruise control lever down to engage and forward to disengage.

You will need to enable SBC Stop with STAR. I believe it is disabled in U.S.A. version cars.
