Will these rotors actually work on my 05 E55 AMG with no Modifications

Mercedes E Class W211 E55 and CLS Class W219 CLS 55 Evosport 2-piece Replacement Brake Rotors F + R
EvoSport

Price: $2,750.00 Set of 4

Front and rear multi-piece floating performance rotors, drilled and slotted (Front
15.35"/390mm, Rear 13.0"/330mm). Direct replacement for factory rotors; no modification
necessary. For use with OE AMG 55 brake calipers only. Brake pad replacement recommended
during this install.

Gains1: Lighter, multi-piece floating discs allow for better heat dissipation to mitigate brake fade. Over 35lbs. of unsprung weight savings aids in better acceleration, stopping distance and cornering ability.

I understand that our stock rotors are like 14.2" but i was wondering if these will actually work with our stock 8 piston calipers with no modifications.

They are on gmpperformance.com under E55 AMG

Here is the link to them:

I notice that the rear rotors in this set are still 13.0", same as stock but the fronts are 1.15" larger in diameter than stock. I'm going with 19" wheels all around so I'm wonder if these will work with no modifications at all.

The description does say "No modification required, Direct replacement". A lot of people have switched to these on this forum without any troubles. If you are a DIY kind of guy it will be a piece of cake for you.

I got a pm from evosport about them. They work. Evosport is definitely a class act. Thank you for the quick response and I didn't even have a chance to contact them yet.

Really, $2,750 + shipping for just 4 rotors?

I paid $650 shipped for 4 rotors and Akebono pads all the way around. I would put the extra $2100 in mid length headers and bigger heat exchanger.

lol you are right ! haha I am an avid investor in braking too but this is out of my understanding. Unless until a person takes their car on a track every other week and yes i said track not a drag strip I see no use of this unless until you are doing weight reduction for a lower 1/4 mile time but even then this step would be last before it would be engine and last would be weight lol

No offense to the OP

The price is because the are high quality 2-piece rotors with aluminum hats and save over 30lbs of unsprung weight on all 4 corners. Whenever you need to replace rotors then all you do is buy replacement rotors for a fraction of the cost and screw them back to the aluminum hats. 2750 for 390mm rotors up front and stock 330mm rotors out back is a small price to pay considering most other big brake kits with that size rotor are $3,000+ alone for fronts only. There doesn't seem like a need to upgrade the stock 8 piston calipers. Just my $.02.

how are you going to get a 390mm rotor to fit inside a caliper built for a 360 mm rotor? there isnt 30 mm of space between the edge of the rotor and the caliper. im guessing different mounting brackets are going to be needed

The stock rotors are 14.2" (360mm). Evosport said that they include an adapter for the new rotors. It looks like there is definitely some room to grow with the stock calipers though. The stock calipers look like they are made for a true big brake kit
