Clean junk out of holes in seat?

Well...Someone spilled BBQ sauce all over my seat and it dried in the little holes...

How do I get this out?

Would steam be safe to use? Any other ideas?

I would use some good leather cleaner and conditioner (I use Adams Polishes products) to get the seats cleaned and conditioned and then you can use a toothpick to gently clean any of the perforations in the seats.

Worst case scenario (if it starts to smell over time) , you can always by new factory skins for the lower parts. Pretty penny though. My tech replaces them all the time.

may be able to just get area wet, leave it for a few, then a good vacuum might suck them up and out without much residue making it to the cushion. a tooth brush would help too.

+2 for Toothpick, just make sure to use a small vac to clean up.

I'd start with a bath towel soaked fairly well in warm/hot water and lay it on there and pat it down some but I wouldn't wipe. Just let it lay there for a lil bit and it may wick out a bit of the sauce from the holes. Get as much as you can out this way then when dry I'd rub the seat folding the leather a bit with your hand with a strong vacuum directly next to your hand. You want it to break up a bit with the vacuum right there to suck it out if possible. I'd save the toothpick for last resort as you'll probably just push it deeper and it may start coming back a bit as people sit there.

Introduce a new rule (to "someone"): No eating in car.

It's working like a charm for me.
