E63 P030
![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I found this E63 a few hours away from me...
It's a 2008 E63 P030 package car...
Link: http://www.martin.mercedesdealer.com...uf77x78b197498
appears to be a 2 owner, Black/Black with 42,600 on the clock.
Asking price is $36.5k
My main concern/ issue is the hideous wheels. (am I correct in assuming these are not MB wheels?) I know it shouldn't bother me, but aside from the LSD it seems like what sets the performance package E63 apart from the rest is having the original wheels.
It concerns me that someone would have taken a P030 package car and swapped out the rims like that... seems sketchy.
Do you know if it is possible to still acquire a set of the proper stock wheels from MB?
I know I'm probably being overly paranoid... what do you think about this one?
I like to have my vehicles stock and OEM when I get them, so I tend to shy away from modded cars, it makes me feel like if someone swapped the wheels, what else might they have done to it that isnt so obvious...
So.... Worth my while to drive 3 hours and check it out? How's the price?
Thanks!

I think the wheels aren't terrible, but defiantly not better than the stock wheels. I also think the price is a tad high. For 36.5K I would be targeting the W212 E63. You could probably find one of those for close to the same price. Besides the wheels the car looks sharp. Maybe you can ask them to provide the OEM wheel or find you a pair or else no deal. Or try finding some on ebay for cheap.
Good Luck with your car purchase and definitely check it out in person. Just because someone changes the rims doesn't necessarily mean the car drivetrain has been modified.

Wow! I did not know they still sold for that high. I stand corrected. It's just that body style don't look all that different than a 03 E55 that can be had for 13k less. I just think for that kind of scratch I would want something more modern. With that being said, I saw a sick W211 E63 on the streets of Manhattan and that exhaust note was glorius!

I also changed out the factory wheels on my Bentley Continental SuperSports and even my wife's Kia Sorento.... Wheels are like shoes, everyone has different tastes...

Why does it concern you that someone swapped out the wheels on their vehicle? That's the first thing I did when I purchased my 06 E55... The factory wheels are hideous in my opinion... Yes, you can acquire the proper stock wheels from MB. They will run you about $1,000 each though!

More like 60k for w212 E63 with 6.3L engine.
36k is a great price for a 2008 w211 E63 with performance package.
Clean E55's with 100k mileage are going for around 24k
