OT: For all you Texans...what tracks are near...
I'm looking forward to moving to Keller TX ( or close to it ) but am worried there is no track or even car freaks anywhere in the area. I've gone like 6 times and rarely see modified cars or anything similar.

What tracks, if any, are close to this? Keller is about 30min from Dallas for those that are unsure.

They have a NHRA certified track in Ennis, Texas. There are also some small tracks in the Mansfield area.

Maybe you should define what kind of tracks you are looking for: 1/4 mile, road, etc.

The new F1 course opened up in Austin - which isn't too far from Dallas.

MSR in Angelton is nice as well... South of Houston.

Held a corporate event there 2 yrs ago.. karting on the banked track.... a blast.

Nice road racing track there as well I hear.
That spec-miata racing looks fun and cheap.

I am sure he is looking for 1/4 mile tracks since that is what the majority of E55 owner like going to.

COTA track is good but it will be while before they start renting it out for DD events

Numismatic: Pretty sure the closest track to you will be Little River Academy Dragway. It is neer the Ft. Hood area. You wil need drag radials if you plan on hooking up, as they have horrible track prep
