Car won't start. Battery was dead and it won't start up
I walk I to my garage to start the car and the battery was dead. I bought a new battery and the front battery less than a year ago. My door lock button on my key is broken and its the only key I have so sometimes my radio turns on itself since the doors don't lock. I can't understand why the radio turns on itself? I'm boosting it with my other car and it makes a little click sound and doesn't want to start. I replaced my battery control module about 2 years ago or so. Not sure why the car won't start after boost.

How long does your car sit between starts...days or just overnight? When mine died, a normal jump start didn't cut it...had to let it charge w/ a battery charger for a bit. The clicking is just signs of life but not enough to even turn the starter over.

Sounds like it doesn't have enough of a charge to crank over with it clicking. I would just go buy a new battery since obviously the ones you have has been drained completely. Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback fellas. It's not my everyday car but it never goes more than 3 days without being started. I removed the battery and took it to the MB parts and they said battery is completely shot and I bought a 75amp battery instead of 100amp. MB wants $275 for the battery. I also bought a newer key for $257. Not sure if anyone else has these issues but I guess you'd need to have a broken key to see that the radio turns itself on

Wow...buy an Interstate battery for a 1/3rd of that. If your only going 3 days before a 1 year old battery is dying their is definitely a short or it's the radio thing....I never lock my doors and my radio doesn't stay on, if it were me...I would figure out the radio fuse & pull it to see of the battery draining stops.

Wow man that sux. But I would always buy a strong battery since these cars suck up a lot of juice to operate. Good luck

Interstate's are fantastic batteries, I use them for my business in all our trucks that get killed from a battery standpoint between sitting around and my guys leaving gps's & all kinds of crap plugged into the cig lighters on when they leave and they've proven themselves quite well.
I've tried others w/o the same success.

I'm also a very big fan of interstate. I always go for an Interstate when I can get it. If they make one that fits I'd get one. Also spend the extra couple bucks for the stronger battery WELL worth it.
