Is there a way to tell from the VIN if an E63 has the P030 option?

A dealer can input the VIN and tell you what options were installed.

That's my problem. The dealer says the car I am looking at has the option but the rims are wrong.

This car doesn't have the P30 option. The steering wheel needs to have alcantara on the sides or a flat bottom steering wheel.

Thanks. That is what I was thinking. The stealer was trying to be oh so convincing that it had the option and trying to make a good story as to why the car can't be CPO and if I wanted it to be it would add a ton to the price.



Also so I am pre-approved Penfed but notice their warranty excludes AMG cars.

I figured asking about the steering wheel would confirm or or deny the PP option. You sir unfortunately don't have one on your hands (OP) but a great car nonetheless. If the dealer is lying to you, simply walk away from the sale. This isn't the type of car to just "hope for the best" with.

Unsure if it is the stealer lying or just naive. The car I am looking at appears to be in great shape with low miles for the year (less than 39K). The dealer is a full Mercedes dealer in Seattle.

I don't understand why some cars are CPO at dealers and some are not but the ones that are say nothing of paying more for the CPO cars. How are CPO cars approved or chosen?
