E55 Upgrades. Any suggestions
I am wanting to do some mods to my 06 E55 and just wanted some feedback with any of your experiences. I did a complete Renntech conversion of every upgrade possible to my CL65 so I only have experience with the Renntech product. I wanted to know what you guys would suggest for the following mods.
1. ECU/TCU Upgrade
2. Headers & Xpipe - but I don't want the car to be extremely loud and is it ok to leave the catback alone and just do these two or is it a must to do the complete exhaust ( car is a wagon so not sure if x pipe is different or if it is just cat back that differs )
3. Pulleys
4. TB & size
Anything else you might suggest for upgrades. I really was interested in the weistec supercharger but haven't heard enough about it to make a decision so I just want to do some of these other mods before I go the supercharger route.
Thanks

I guess for now just looking at some good bolt ons. Wanna go quicker but don't want to go internally with any mods at this point but that might change, I do get bored pretty quick.

I don't think anyone can easily count how many times this information has been the subject of a new thread. Please use the search function. Not trying to be mean but these questions are easy to find answers to and have been covered only slightly less than the coming of Christ.

If it were my money I would do the following.
Weistec SC
MBH LT Headers
Larger TB
Quaife differential
This should produce a well sorted package that is reliable and a good foundation for further mods as more people experiment building power with the Weistec kit.

I agree with all these and they are on my list. My biggest hold back is which company to go with for a tune.

The Weistec S/C comes with a tune does it not? I would start there, as you would spend roughly the same on a full bolt on car (and you would make more power than full bolt ons). Further down the road you could upgrade exhaust and other parts.

The Weistec SC would not be my first choice, unless you are going for a complete build...
Headers + Pulley + better cooling (IATs) + throttle body + tune = ~100+ hp, which should be good enough to put you in near supercar territory, maintain reliability, and not break the bank....

2004 E55K AMG Wagon
You say you get bored quick and that you put every option on your CL65 so if thats the case you are like most of us addicted to modifying. The best part is making small improvements and feeling the difference either on the track or through your butt. I think you are right build up to a possible SC swap but choose your current mods so you can move on without to many problems.
I would go
1. Split cooling with bigger HE and possible trunk or engine bay tank
2. Headers either LT or Kleemann
3. If you can get rid of all 4 cats and the resonator you get rid of tons of back pressure and additional heat
4. 168, 172 or 175 crank pulley with Tune - you should be OK to stick with stock injectors
5. 1 step colder plugs
Now next step is to go
82mm TB, Smaller SC Pulley, Injectors or Weistec SC Kit which can include all 3 anyway.
