E63 owners Roll call!
With no disrespect to E55 owners I think the 55 and 63 should have there own thread in the 211 forum.I think the lack of ease in which you can mod a 63 compared to a 55 has created a knowledge vacuum. As more 63's come off of lease or are turned in over the next 12 months the demand will grow for a greater W156 knowledge base. I dunno, feel like a red headed step child here but this is the best site out there for E63 owners. Rant over, flame suit out for dry cleaning.....

Another forum has the 55 and 63 sections split and the 63 section is a ghost town. If I am on that forum, I usually end up in the 55 section. For what it is worth, I vote to keep it combined for now. It might be a good move in a few years when the 55's start dropping off, but then at that point, many more people on here will be in the bi-turbo platform and it might not even make a difference.
There just isn't a lot you can do to the NA 63, that is cost effective. The majority of 63 posts are people looking for troubleshooting help and most of those posts have "E63" in the title line.
Maybe they could create a drop down box or something that would allow you to select E55 or E63 when creating a new thread. Then it would show that at the beginning of the thread, if the new thread is specific to either platform.

Just nit-picking, it's "M156" as far as the engine code goes, not W156.
I was origionally agreeing with the idea, but there's alot of general info discussed on here that pertains to the cars in general, not 55/63 spefcific, so splitting us up would, like someone already mentioned, probably leave us 63 guys with a small (and less experienced) group for a little while.

I agree! Even with the same body, the different motors and other factors would make an E63 forum a great idea. I have an '07 E63 and would welcome that.

I think we would all agree (all twelve of us) that we want to know more about our cars and what we can and cant do with them. A major challenge is that there were less then 3000 of them made so it limits the participation in this forum greatly, even greater if you are a vendor looking for a profitable market segment to develop parts.
Where do we go from here?

still wondering if anyone has tried anything NOS related on the 6.2L, would something as small as a dry 50hp shot at least bring the benefit of colder intake air I feel when driving in 30 degrees rather than 90?

Sorry I don't really like NOS, although I know it can be beneficial for short bursts...The nice thing about the 6.3 motor (compared to the 5.5K) is you can run it hard all day long and you don't have to worry about heat soak issues. I would just get headers and a tune and call it a day. If you look at some of the dyno threads, the headers and tune will yield wonderful, safe, and reliable gains.
