Ice off semi, windshield, grille and my beautiful E...
Switching lanes, ice off rigs roof:
Obviously I couldnt get the plate. Impact was so hard v1 flew off and mirror hung loose. I'm glad it didnt go through (woulda been dead) or damage the pano.
Suggestions what to do? Grille was one of a kind. Windshield was a couple months old and had it done recently too. Obviously cant drive the car (made it home 15miles).

Wow that really sucks, but thank God your alright.
I would replace the windshield and go with a black stock grill for now.
Hope your repair costs are minimal.

Thx teska, the front was just repainted. Better be no scratches after a carwash.
Yea guys, situation is lame. Insurance should cover windshield without deductible here.

Damn bro...that sucks. But I gotta ask why in God's name would you have your beautiful 55 out on the roads in the winter just askin' for something bad to happen to it?? Mine is tucked snug in the barn awaiting weather that will better appreciate it's fine German disposition.

Holy ****. Sorry to see that. And i agree, be glad it wasn't the pano roof. Remember, it could always be worse. Good luck getting it fixed. Doesn't look to be too expensive minus the new windshield and a grill.

Well so far so good, getting it done later on today via mobile jnphillips through insurance at no deductible. Grille will be out of pocket since its not worth the claim. Gta pay for tint again though.
I love the car too much to drive anything else, bought it to drive it and it does great in the snow. I'd hate to store it and drive some crap
First thing I did was roll back the shades hoping I dont see a crack..whew..
Thx Aaron, I'm glad too, could've been much worse.
Haha, surprisingly didnt get scared at all just started shaking and wanted to kill someone for a while, especially the truck driver who made a fast escape.
Thanks Tony you could guess how I felt..
No way following too close, I watch out for those (rocks and stuff)..I was switching a few lanes to exit the freeway and was the lucky recepient of the ice from this fresh on the highway moron. The plate would help if damage was worse I suppose, just stated it since I thought members would ask.
