Every tuner has blown engines. It doesn't matter at this point, he's moving on. It's all a part of the price you pay when you mod any car. Charge it to the game!

Grant, Verry sorry to hear this! Good luck and glad to hear you'll still be in the family!

Looks like it has distronic, and probably some other fun options. I'm interested how that new distronic works compared tothe old setup. Hear it'll actually bring you to a stop or damn close.

Gotta throw my testimony in for the 55k. Mine did over 7k road trip, 20 days and zero issues. Either way, its all a matter of personal opinion and I respect yours.

Good luck Grant with the new purchase. If you dont mind, please pm me the tuner....I'm in the market here real soon.

If you really wanted to start a **** storm you should have asked who's fuel loop was on it.....

It's all water under the bridge at this point. Everyone has to choose their own vendors and take their chances. There are never any guarantees in the tuning game.

Not trying to start a **** storm. I just find it funny when a member knows exactly what fuel rail was on the car, and then plays dumb asking what tune was on the car (insinuating that the tune had something to do with the motor going). Obviously trying to make the tuner of his choice look better.

Every tuner has had clients with motors that go boom. Part of the game we play. I've seen first hand a OE tuned car that broke 7 of 8 pistons the FIRST pull after the tune was put on the car so yes it's happened to them all. Tuning and modding your car is gambling but that's the game we all play.

one car at a time
Grant - What AFR were you running ? I am curious because the factory seems to have them run pretty rich (mid 10s) and I have seen many folks running high 11's / low 12's under WOT which seems too lean to me....My AFRs on my F/I cars is typically 11.5:1 . Just curious as I am still tuning the e55.

I wasn't saying Eurocharged tuned cars haven't gone boom because obviously this one did. Just saying EVERY tuner has tuned a car that's had an engine let go. That's part of modding a car.

I tuned the car and it 100% wasn't the tune.

I can name 20+ 55's with the EXACT same tune.

The car was driven 40 miles after she let go. It's going to look bad.

Jerry took courage to say it was yours, I commend you
So what was the real reason the motor went boom?

I have no idea. I never got to see it.... And even then I'm not sure anyone could figure it out.

I consider Grant a good friend and I spent about and hour going through the file just to make sure.

Over the years I've learned to take the blows and ignore the negative comments. There will always be keyboard warriors here ready to start a tuner battle. The only person I'm competing with now is myself.... If that makes sense.

Tuner wars are stupid. It's all a part of the game if an engine blows. Every tuner has a fast car. But cars often don't react the same with the same mods and tune. If hat makes sense. Lol.
I have a friend with the same mods as me, that doesn't make the same power I do. He only matched my power when he was on 110oct. We were on the same dyno on the same day, one after another.
