FWIW, my 211 has over 100k of happy Eurocharged miles. Car has never had a hiccup. Different engine, I know.....

Guys just got back to Houston after picking my new car up in Dallas. Car is VERY clean 1 owner with extended warranty through 125K miles

The W212 6.3 NA doesn't have the brutal power of the 5.5 supercharged engine from launch but with 7 speed transmissions it's a LOT of fun.

Car is loaded with advanced Distronic, blind spot warning, presafe and lane departure warning.

I love the AMG button! Changes a number of settings but I LOVE the throttle blip etc.

This car will stay stock, the E55 was fun but unreliable. The last engine in the E55 was actually it's 3rd. First was replaced after a pulley came off and did a lot of damage. Second engine had fuel rail loop, 550cc injectors, 180MM pulley and headers. Eventually you put enough stress on that engine and I think it's bound to give up. The second engine had 30K miles on it and I put about 20K more on it before it went bang.

Had a few PM's on my advice around mods and what to do to prevent a melt down like I had.

1. Leave it stock
2. Leave it STOCK
3. LEAVE IT STOCK!!!!

Modding is fun but anything you do to a stock engine can cause or lead to over time a catastrophic failure of your engine! I chose to MOD and accepted the risk. If you're risk averse get a Prius!

BTW I did drive it for almost 40 miles after it went band. Didn't see smoke and I really thought my CM30 pump had just given up as I was feeling the power loss

Anyway onto different things now!

Grant, nice new ride and sorry to hear about the great white E55! What a fine machine that ride was!

Can`t wait to see the new supercharger on the W212 next year. Rest and stay stock for now but the itch never leaves us modders.. Okie city needs the streets terrorrized some.

Come on, at least put some headers on and get a tune.

Put on a set of Eisemann mufflers and delete the resonator and call it a day

I highly doubt headers and a tune would be anywhere near as risky as the many things that you did to the E55 but I don't know much, still learning lol

As I said it's staying stock. Car is warrantied to 125K miles and is perfect for me as it is. I always had a doubt in the back of my mine about the E55 "is this thing going to even get me home today without some issue?"

Don't have the same doubts about the new one.
