Do the W220 S55 and W221 E55 have exactly the same wheels

Hi

I have found a set of genuine wheels off an S55 W220 shape Mercedes with part number: A2204013502

Does anybody know if these are the exact same wheel pattern and offset that I have on my standard 2003 AMG E55 Kompressor?

Regards,

The W211 E55 wheels have the following specs
A2114012602 18x8 ET30
A2114012702 18x9 ET39

The part number you gave is for the rear wheels 18x9" ET44

The wheels should sit further in by 9mm

Hope this helps

Was anyone able to make the swap? I'm thinking of buying s55 rims to replace my aftermarket ones on my w211 e55 and wonder if a simple set of spacers is all I will need.

I had 1 S55 wheel on the back of mine. It required longer lug bolts to fit. It stuck out a few MM over OEM.

I've since replaced all 4 with CLS55 OEM wheels.

Thanks for the reply. So I guess it should be an ok swap with different lug bolts. Did you need any spacers or anything for the fronts?

I did not have S55 wheels on front, so I can't comment there, unfortunately. Sorry.

This place is a joke.
The S55 wheels have a more squared shape to the spokes, and look goofy on an E55.

Most S55 wheels were identical in appearance to w211 E55 wheels. They only differed in offset and fitment.

Attached is a pic of an S55 wheel on the rear of my E55.

They're not identical. I can spot them every time. I got real good at it looking through Craigslist or Offerup for a used set of wheels, as most knuckleheads selling them don't know which model they came off of. Look at the top of the rear wheels where the 2 spokes meet the lip. Note the sharper angles vs. the front wheel at the same location. The spokes are also thicker on the S55.

The fitment on your wagon looks goofy...the front tires look beefier while the rear wheels sit in too far and the tires are squeezed.

Simple, just compare it to this E55 wheel, look closely! It's so obvious!

I'm really struggling to see a difference. Can you help me out here? Maybe point to a specific spot or something?

I see a difference where the spokes come into the rim.

I'm not sure if you're messing with me, 🤔 but you posted a picture of an E55 rim asking me how I know it's an S55 rim....so, I posted a picture of an S55 rim telling you it's an E55 rim. 😉
Seriously though, the difference is in the spokes. The S55 are thicker and more squared than the E/CLS/SL55 rims.
