Talking Foglights and highbeams

Simple question - I just got my new Projector fog lights W\HIDs and about to install them but..

Anyone know is there is a simple way to keep the fog lights on when one flicks between the high and low beams?

Would be nice to have all 6 beams going for that dark wet rainy night.

I searched the threads and could not find anything.

I would rather not
A - Install a seperate switch
B - Wire them so they are on all the time
C - Wire them so they are on then the headlights or some other light is on

(basically I would like to retain the original switch if possible I can choose between having parking + fog\headlights\headlight + fogs)

Thanks in advance...(hope that makes sense)?

JP

If you have access to it, there is a way to program it via star that will make them operate the way you described. I'll be doing mine shortly. I did see a post here, i'll see if i can dig it up.

EDIT: Found it. Here ya go! https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...igh-beams.html

Awesome thanks...Ah - I did a search with Foglights highbeams not high beams with space <BONK>

Appreciated

- Anyone with Star in Oregon willing to do? I'll pay for the time? Or I'll just head to the stealership and see - but they are grumpy about doing this stuff...

It is illegal to have fogs and high beams on at the same time...This is why it turns off the fogs when you high beam but I turned off this option too

If I take a trip down your way, you think you could code some stuff for me? I was waiting till spring to buy a star diag from Shardul but I want to disable my DRL and activate all this cool stuff and maybe lower the car

Bah - now you made me go and look at what Oregon statues are...

(7) When a vehicle is upon a highway a person shall light not more than a total of four lights at any one time that are mounted on the front of a vehicle and that each projects a beam of intensity greater than 300 candlepower.

Well I guess that means the dealer won't do that mod.

Even though - Im thinking 300 candle power is so way off...

Well maybe - I find another way - who knows.

I hope the cop that pulls you over has 300 candles in his car to verify
