Help with an 55 N/A
My brother has a clk500 2005, we took out the engine and installed a 55n/a engine but we left the injectors and ecu of the 500 without going into tuning, the car is running great and made 375 crank hp, so the MAF see more air and the ecu command the injectors to flow more(increasing duty cycle), the afr was 12-11.5 and now is it the same.
but the problem is that from time to time and specially when going to 6000-6200 rpm it gives missfire only at cyl nb 8, coils wires and plugs are good, so it is lean at cylinder nb 8, my question is the fuel pump is not feeding proper fuel or the injectors are at 100% duty cycle? which one must be upgraded?
thanks.

Why didn't you use the 55 injectors? I know it's a different car but when I did my c43 swap with a 208 55 engine, I used the 55 injectors and it ran perfect on the stock c43 tune. Just reset adaptations. I drove it that way for 2 years. In fact, I'm currently running the stock c43 tune with a 55 swap and a hps blower, minus a maf clamp and a vortech fmu. Been that way for a year. However that's all about to change soon. Bigger blower, long tubes etc.

If the 500 injectors were too small for the 55 wouldn't high rpm be the time it would lean mis? I would try the 55 injectors that came with the engine if you have them. It's possible it's something else but there easy enough to swap out.
