Exclamation Fiscon Pro Bluetooth module - anyone try this?

Fiscon Pro Bluetooth Phone Kit for Mercedes Benz (MOST based cars)

Key features:
Fully integrated bluetooth phone system so useable from Audio keypad, Steering wheel buttons and Instrument Cluster.
Phonebook synchronisation with compatible phones, so names shown on Audio system.
Access to dialed/missed/received call lists with compatible phone.
A2DP Bluetooth audio streaming when supported by phone and no CD changer installed
- includes track up/down where the phone supports it.

seems odd that the CD changer would negate the use of A2DP?

also - says NOT SUITABLE for North American or Japanese Vehicles. - any reason why?

because the unit is seen by the radio as the CD changer. NA and Japanese cars have their radios coded differently from the ROW cars, that's why it won't work

ok makes sense now...

so - I've seen Yacht Master's iPod thread - but looking to install an MHI connector in my center console, is there a kit? or something that replicates the MB setup?

I'd much rather have Bluetooth connectivity vs AUX in the glovebox for phone calls and music - but trying to spend less than $500 for a whole blown unit

Bummer on the Fiscon kit, I am investigating this for a friends' 2005 W211(with no BT prewire)
Does anybody know if coding can be done via Star DevMode to make this work?
Looks like the ideal kit(just unplug CD changer).
thanks

I mentioned the GROM in another thread. It's $400 but I haven't gotten it in the MB yet. I had one in my 2001 740 and absolutely loved it.

If your friends car is equipped with the factory iPod cable, they can always get the Viseeo tune2air bluetooth adapter and stream audio that way. I find the integration, functionality and sound quality is pretty good with this adapter and I get to keep the CD changer

Nope on the iPod cable.
Got a response from Fiscon:
thank you for your e-mail. The FISCON Pro for Mercedes will work in your US W211. For coding you will need to code it by Mercedes. (We do not have any information regarding STAR, sorry.)

So there is hope...now to try to find out what the coding needed is, probably developer mode and for shure not self-explanatory.
Fiscon would be great as it does texts too...heck I might upgrade my car from the std. non-streaming BT too.

Good info on the Fiscon pro. Another unit you may want to consider is from mObridge. The M2 Pro MOST unit integrates phone and BT streaming as well but not sure on texts. They were good about answering questions too. Good luck in your search.

I just installed the bluetooth adapter and while it was more than I wanted to spend ($80), it works GREAT. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...iglink20394-20

I am very happy so far. Titles display on the dash and the steering wheel controls work fine. I wish I had found this earlier.

The only issue I am having is when listening to music via bluetooth and a call comes in, the phone tries to stay in BT mode and send the call through the stereo (but it does not work). I need to play with this more and see if it is possible.

Yes, in the glovebox connected to the 30 pin iPod line.

If I could get the phone to work it would be absolutely perfect....

phone call audio will not work through any device making use of the iPod 30 pin connector. you'll need a dedicated Bluetooth phone device with either a built in microphone or one that uses the factory installed microphone.
