Ran a CLS 63 TT Today- Got Him
So on my way to the car wash today and as I turn the corner to about a 1/2 mile straight away a white CLS TT pulls right on my ***, well needless to say I wanted to see if he wanted some action so I punch and let off, he's right on my butt, so I wait a few seconds with him "right on my rear end" and let her go, (right at about 40 mph). He was right there until about 80-85 and I started to gain a legnth or two until I shut it down at about 115.. Almost went too far, suspension was screaming..
As it turns out he was going to the same car wash and we discussed our cars for awhile, (nice guy) lives right down the road from me, nevertheless he was in TOTAL Denial as to what just happened, but it was fun.. We left by saying see you around....

Either ur a really good driver or he wasn't pressing as hard as he could have cuz I would have thought it would have been him winning or @ least a tie with 700hp since ur putting down less. Anyway thas a good kill bro.

With your current mods and the fact he was behind you, I think this makes sense. You probably had the jump therefore, the chances of the CLS catching up before going in triple digits is slim especially if he did not have the PP.

against a stock CLS TT who ran 12.1@119...so ya
we can stay ahead with the jump, but put a tune on t
that CLS and forget it....It's sad the E55 isn't the
king of the jungle any more.

When we ran he was "right on my ***" I started pulling on him at about 80 or so, my suspension was screaming beacause there were waves in the road and when my car unweights it gets crazy loose, thats why I shut it down, I was sliding left pretty hard at the time.. His car had no PP package, and he does not plan on modding because it's a lease.. After I get my new tunes, TB 550's rail, and Quaiffe on I'll pull that much harder on him next time, but he doesn't really need to know that does he???
According to him there's a black one around here that's modded, but have not run into him YET.. Make no mistake They are FAST.. A modded one would take me and I know it, but I don't scare that easy, at least without trying..

I think the CLS63 is just overrated. After I saw the video F10 M5 vs CLS63 PP then I was so disappointed. 5.5TT vs 4.4TT still lost
Anyways, Nice run ! E55K is not the king anymore but still making good power with some mods.

I consider a tune and downpipes stock because imo that's the way it should have came from the factory but, Fuel economy admissions and all that have to be met. It's just mind blowing that these cars are seeing 640+whp and up to 800lb ft of TQ two yrs of Depreciation can't come soon enough

The M5 as well as the CLS has been proven to be underrated from factory. Vic seems to be believe that the DCT from the Ms makes the difference why the M pulls on the CLS/E stock.
I am not sure about being over rated. Please give me other examples of 4 door sedans with a simple tune being under 4 secs to 60 and low 11 sec for 1/4.
The new E 4matic has been tested at 3.6 to 60.
Don't get me wrong, the Audi RS7 and Ms are great competitors and worthy of consideration but over rated, none of them are.
I am not sure about being over rated. Please give me other examples of 4 door sedans with a simple tune being under 4 secs to 60 and low 11 sec for 1/4.
The new E 4matic has been tested at 3.6 to 60.
Don't get me wrong, the Audi RS7 and Ms are great competitors and worthy of consideration but over rated, none of them are.

What I mean overrated by compare to the old M113K engine. Sure the new TT is fast but comparing to the M5 F10 not so sure. The M5 is faster not because of the DCT only, some claim stock is about 530whp ! 4.4 with bigger turbo compare to 5.5 bigger displacement but smaller turbos. All this not to mention M5 handle way better. I love AMG but in my opinion, the new 55TT is just overrated compare to M113K or F10.

The DCT absolutely helps a car in a rolling race- its more efficient than a slush box auto or even a planetary auto like the MCT. Look at what the GTR and 997.2TT do with their dual clutch trannys... faster shifting, more efficient in power transfer to the ground, less parasitic loss up top.
The M5 (new one) has larger turbos to offset its displacement loss to the CLS63TT... mods will yield more towards the 63 IMHO.

Ive already owned and dumped 2 tuned M157's (CLSTT and E-Wagon TT) they are indeed monsters. I didnt care so much for the handling- they were bad by any means but driveability left something to be desired. My favorite car is my slowest- C63 BS.

Nice! I've pick on a few stock TTs. It's actually fun. Makes me appreciate the work that's gone into my car. I'm working on something now south at I can run the tuned TT I lost to in the vid I posted. We'll see after MIR.
