Not To Many Options For 285-25-20 Tire Anymore

In 06 when I had my E55 I installed 20" wheels and tires and I remember I had a lot of options on which tires to run. But now I'm limited to a few, I planned on going with the same tire I ran before, Toyo but when I tried to order them I was told they are no longer being made. I then switched to Hankook seemed like a good tire for the money, ready to place the order on them and was told they stopped making them in that size.

My really only tire left seems to be the Falken FK-452 for a lot more then I planned on spending. Any of you guys running them? Thanks

www.treaddepot.com i just found your most likely toyo T1rs still for sale there in the tire size you are looking for. $242.00 a tire....

http://www.treaddepot.com/tire/246580.html

eek says its out of stock after you try to add it. They have a lot of choices regardless in the size your looking for. I know they stopped making T1rs for the newer generation T1 Sports...

I noticed the same...I went to a 285/30/20 and the options are endless. No rubbing either.

You don't want the ratio more then 3% a 285-30-20 would be 5.6% where the 285-25 is only 1.2% I could go with a 295-25 but I'm not 100% sure if it would rub or not.

The Michelins 245-30 that I would need for the fronts cost more then the rear at $405

Well I can attest to the 285/30/20 looking more square on the wheel itself as well as there are about 20-25 options out there from the manufacturers on tire rack in this size.

Good luck in your search!

Did you guys roll the rear fenders any? I didn't think we could get 285\30\20's without a clearance issue. I had heard 285\25\20's can be done but damn doesn't tha ride get harsh? I still have my dinged up 20's that were on at time I got car(got dealership to give em to me after they had changed em out for new 19's). After getting them cleaned up (undinged)I was considering using them again as my summer set and then when the 19's rubber wore out I'd put a winter set on them... As I live in Florida this is not a high priority,ha ha,but I thought it would be useful if we ever needed go visit family in D.C. Or (shiver) Wisc... During winter months. The prior owner had put 275\30\20 rubber on a 11in wide rim needless to say this was prob main reason rimms were chewed up. Looked funny as well in my opinion as that's 'fashionable' to me

I'm also looking for tires, and I have found that discounttire.com has the best prices for most brands on their ebay site. Free shipping and decent choices.

Yes there is only 4 viable options for this size it blows. I want summer tires w/ AAA traction with at least 280 wear rating
1. Toyo T1r (I attempted to order but fronts are back ordered until who knows?)
2. Perrelli Pzero Nero GT (most likely choice)
3. Falken fk453
4. Michelin pilot sports ($$$$$)
5. Nitto invio (which have poor reviews)
6. A bunch of crappy brands I've never heard of.
