TWIN TURBO E55
I know a shop starting to build a ttE55. They are removing the blower and starting the build. The kit when finished will be just shy of 10gs. I will keep you posted. Knowing the shop and the tuner working on the gig, it will get done and it will get done right!

Intake manifold should be easy. Either do a log style for each side or a box style plenum woul work great to (turbo's seem to love both). If i was getting a manifold built I would have John Marcella come up with something wild and whatever it was it would work. Cost would be another thing.

This guy has some endless funds so I dont think that will be an issue. I just hope he can complete it and offer it for the price he thinks. It will be interesting. They are starting with a bone stock silver 2005. Stock dynos were done tonight.

What shop is doing it or can you say? I hope they get it done and prove it can be made for a reasonable price. Something else that can be done that I've seen before is using the stock blower housing as the manifold. I've seen that done a few times before where you remover the internals.

.
What sort of HP/TQ target is being set for this particular build and/or kit? Is it fair to assume that the target is well above any of the traditional E55 power packages?

You know what, I didnt get that far. I was there and saw this stock E on the wheel and was like WTF is the deal with that. Then the owner told me what the project was. I didnt even ask if I could say their name so I dont want to say. I will be there tomorrow getting my TR7IX plugs installed and my car dialed in on the dyno. I will ask some more. This guy has the money and fab people to get the job done and he is super confident he can get it done and to the public for 10gs or under. I told him much more and it would be hard to sell. He fully understands that. The tuner is on board and fully capable as well. The tuner does not work for this place , they just started using him thanks to my introduction to each other a year or so ago. Its a great working relationship for the MB world. It was just ironic I was reading the other turbo thread and then I came across this today. I will get as much info as I can as long as they are cool with it. Hell, he may let me be the voice and I can photo it along the way of the build.

Yea, I figured you would know I dont think they will mind but I just dont want to put them on front street without asking. You know them, they deff have the capital and the fab skills.
