Tail Light Out, MB Said $450 Fix?... Any Cheaper Alternatives Appreciated!
Hey folks, I took my vehicle in for an alignment and had them check my lights, and they said since they are LED, the whole assembly has to be replaced and it'll be $450. Now I'm not sure if that was per side (probably) or installed or just the part. Either way, F that. I just replaced my tires and super charger intercooler pump and I'd rather spend money on the pulley upgrade than freakin lights through the dealer.
Any input would be appreciated. I have a former MB tech that works here at my dealership and can do most labor related jobs, just need to find out what parts exactly I need and where the best bang for the buck is. Thanks!

The dealer sells the oem led replacements, don't buy used tail lights from ebay.
Just remove the tail lights and replace the LED bulbs, very simple job.

IIRC, it is just removing the while assembly from the car, removing the screws on the LED board (either 2 or 3), swapping LED board, put the screws back in, reinstall.

Thanks i will pull my bad one this week and check it out before I order. It lights up just not very bright and doesn't throw a message on the display so maybe there is just a loose wire or something. If not a few simple screws and staying OEM sounds like a good deal.
