Diagnose Secondary Air Injection, EGR, and Post Cat 02 Sensors through SDS

I would check your vacuum lines. Sounds like you have a leak. Especially check the metal hose that goes in beside the TB that is fed off of the valve cover. That one seems to be the most common culprit.
Good luck!

Does anyone know the purpose of the blue check valve that goes in the vacuum lines to the switch valve? I reinstalled my SAI and can't find the check valve but installed the system without it and can't see why the valve would be used to begin with.

I've done a fair amount of driving and I still have the evap and secondary readiness monitors as incomplete. I need these two to show ready so I can go fail a 2nd time to start the inspection waiver process. Any ideas? I had supposedly turned off the secondary as per the instructions in this thread.

the 02's need to be enabled in the tune from OE and disabled in star... just went through this recently. Got a tune and my rear 02 readiness was "not ready" And just a few weeks before the were "ready"
I talked to the tuner and he told me to do the coding. well pulled out the star went to disable and they were disabled already. went back to tuner and told him, he sent me new file with 02's turned on and rear 02's disabled in STAR and readiness was complete on the rear 02's in minutes...

My secondary air monitor just got the ok readiness, so all I have left is the EVAP control monitor to trigger ready.
My O2's are showing as ready, so I have no idea what to do there. Jeremy reflashed my ECU while he was in the Middle East, but the CEL with the P2098 came back. I'm borrowing STAR this evening so I'm going to root around and see what I find.

Check engine light is on. Auto parts store tells me I probably need to replace the MAP sensor. I can't get the vehicle inspected with the "check engine" light on. Any clues? Thanks

For those of us in Cali with headers, which O2 sensor do you want to disable / turn off so as to not get a check engine light (and pass emissions) - is it the post cat O2 sensor ?
Why turn of the others - EGR & Air pump (are folks really removing these) ?

I am about to try this with star, as I have two in completes which are o2 sensor and o2 sensor heater. I have put 300 miles on the car and still won't get ready.
Performing the post #1 procedure disables that parameter in the ecu completely so it shows ready or n/a?

Shardul,
I believe the controller for a S600 NA V12 is a 2.7, not a 2.8.
The menu access for that one is somewhat different, as I found out last year.

Bump for response from PP.

i have tryed this over and over probably 6 times.. key on, engine running, codes cleared.. and keep coming up with this error "At least one coding setting is invalid. Check and correct coding setting." and then i click ok and ALL of the parameter's show ----.
the ECU in my car was repaired about 8 months ago due to water damage. Shardul is thinking that maybe the ECU is "Locked"
has anyone else run into this problem and found a way around it???

Mad props to this tutorial. I turned off egr and air injection due to the cel. Saved me time and money trying to diagnose. At first I had same problem when I loaded the code page, all the fields were black with -----. I turned off car and reloaded das. When I got back to the page all the fields were mysteriously filled. So I switched the two and good to go no more cel.

Ok guys, just received my Star diag today. Trying to turn off rear 02 sensors and keep getting error code like 1 posted above. No codes stored and car is running. Any help would be very appreciated.

Glad to help. PM if your system is not allowing you to access the coding functions

Man this is a whole new car. Can't believe how choppy it was driving. Wide bands would fluctuate between 14.6 and 15.2 cruising now steady at 14.2. Full throttle fluctuated also. Now at 12.2 steady. Much smoother drivability. Originally Posted by shardul

Got to turn off rear 02's, EGR, secondary air and do -10deg mod.
