I like them both but I'd probably go with the CTS-V.... less coin, better handling but, if the E63 had ABC suspension it would hands down be the better car.

We all know it isn't going to handle like the CTS-V but I was a little shocked by how much faster it is stock. That's a substantial margin for stock cars. 89 feet I think he says? I was impressed.

All that power and you can toss an air mattress in the back for some special time away from the kids. I like it.

I saw this video a little whole ago. Makes you believe the E might be underrated at 550hp

If you watch at the launch ~ 7min 12 sec. the guy with the caddy spins the tires hard off the line. Its comparing a manual 6 speed to the benz auto. I think it would be a little closer with a better launch, but the extra torque of the 63 should still keep it on top.

I don't wish ABC on any car. It's great when it works but it is so undependable and expensive to maintain. MB should use the Caddi's magnetic suspension or come up with a version of their own.

From what I noticed all the boosted Benzes r in a league of their own when compared to other vehicles in their class

I don't know $42k is a HUGE price difference. $10k in mods would probably allow the CTS-V to smoke the E63 Wagon and still have $30k for kicking around money. I also agree the CTS-V just looks better. I haven't found many used ones with an manual though and I've been looking.

Agree but as others stated in 40k miles you will wish you didn't own a GM vehicle, it's all about ShAkE, RATTLE and maybe roll.

The CTS V has been around since 2009 and there are plenty with 40k plus on them. On this car, there doesn't seem to be the issues you mention. GM's past deserved your comments so I get it.
Back to the video, It's a shame they didn't line up the Automatic Benz to the Automatic Caddy. The manual transmission Cadillacs are proven to be slower than the automatic Cadillacs. The tire spin at the launch cost the Cadillac at the end of the 1/2 mile. The outcome would have likely been the same with the Benz winning, but I bet there wouldn't have been 79 feet between them.
I still think it's cool that a 5 year old platform that costs less, beats the latest and greatest in overall performance.

The styling on that E63 wagon is just lackluster IMO, but the drivetrain is impressive. I won't drive another GM product, been there done that. Fun video to watch, good to see the AMG win the drag race. Handling is all CTS-V.
