Best way to check if SC bearing is bad.
One time when my gf was backing my car out of the driveway, I was standing by the hood and heard a weird noise. It sounded like a bearing noise but when I checked the next day, I didn't notice anything and didn't really hear that noise again.
Is there a way to physically check it easily? I have warrenty that would cover it and would like to do it before it runs out.

How many miles on the car? could just be your drive or sc belt. Spray a little bit of lube (pure silicone or something similar) on the ribbed side of the belt while the engine is running and see if the noise goes away. If so, you belts could simply need to be replaced.

I pulled the belt off and wiggled the bearing and it had some noticeable movement. Not "WOW, how does it even stay together" movement, but some none the less. Is this normal?

This is your supercharger bearing

if you can see those ball bearings your in need of a supercharger clutch bearing. If you cant your OK
If your wiggling the pulley to the left, that would be your tensioner. if it wiggles get a hold of shardul and get a new one.

Pull the belt off and spin it with your hand. Feel it. If the bearing are grinding go from there and replace it. Run the car with out the S/C belt and then see if the noise still happens.

Sign of mine was when I stomped the gas and hear a grinding sound and got louder over time. Got the smaller sc installed and no more grind. Now car creaks so need to replace ball joint and maybe wheel bearings going bad

Exotic Metal has a video he took of my s/c pulley when he had my car for a bit while I was in Afghanistan. I wish I had the video clip but I don't. It was very easy to tell the pulley was done for.
