GT-R or CTS-V

It depends on where you live, the road conditions and if your a bigger guy too. Also what you do. I would say after long days of work I wouldn't want to be climbing out of the GTR every night. On a bad day of work I'd end up getting a ticket with the GTR and less likely to be noticed in the CTS-V. However that's coming from me driving in NYC with a hr ride home....not everyone has that. Good luck in your choice.
OT PetroC63 Nice times!!! practically identical 60's trap and ET to my times back on Dec. 6th. What did you end up doing with the back wall at Atco? You made them take it down???

Pretty much, but then again he has a 65 and a 68 Mustang, very much the same type of car. I do see your point to diversify. Its always nice to have an option for a different feel. Seems like all his cars are straight line cars.

I have to agree with the third choice -- 997TT.
I love my 996TT and would jump to the 997 in a heartbeat but have 7 kids that all want to be fed.

Feedback
Wow - Thanks for all the feedback! Yes, I would be keeping the E55, but I should have mentioned that the fiancé will be driving that car. I've driven a GTR for about 30 minutes and was pretty surprised by the harsh ride and not sure how long I could stand that. Still pretty torn, but I'm really leaning towards the CTS-V. I'm also considering the new E63 AMG-S with all wheel drive, but not really sure I want to spend that much!

GT-R. With less than it costs to do a bolt on "stage 3" E55 you can have this. Contrary to what GT-ER said, you do not have to spend a ton of money to have a fast GT-R. In fact you can spend closer to 5 grand than 10 and have one that runs very low 10s or even 9s consistently in South Florida weather with the same wheels you run daily, no need for skinnies up front and a drag pack.

Even that GT-R you posted has more than $10K+ invested into it in parts alone ( to include the ETS intercooler kit they forgot to mention in the video and the wheels and tires ) nevermind whatever labor runs. Plus, it's a wonderful machine that can run 10's bone stock.
Even then, the OP was talking about BIG numbers...not stock turbo GT-R numbers. AMS Alpha 9 kit will run you $24K+labor+whatever drivetrain upgrades you want to do and puts down 800whp. Want 1000whp? AMS can help there as well, but get ready to dump $80K into your drivetrain to get there.

Here's some info I got from a GTR owner:
buy any year gtr- newer if you can afford , but the performance is similar with same mods if you add teh inlets on the 09s through 2011 gtrs. all you need to run the same or even faster than that is full bolt ons and a tune running on e85 gas. you can get all of that for about 4k and have a ten secont flat car if the track prep is right. and it also will be a 600 hp and torque gtr at the wheels. im currently running 606 hp and 635 torque on a mustange dyno. so i have over 700 at the crank.

Your E55 interior is no prize possession any more. It was nice back in 2003 but its just ok now. The V interior is years ahead of the 03 to 09 E55/63. Now I will agree, new to new, the 2013 E63 is nicer then the Vs. Any one that makes a comment like this is just plain stupid.

only problem is our 7 year old Leather (atleast mine does) still looks pretty much brand new from the AMG factory while on the other hand my family members that drive the CTS (2011) and escalade EXT (2010) are falling apart meaning the fake leather thats plastic on the dash cracked in the EXT and theres so many creases in the leather looks like elephants sat in them and thats only after a few years of owning !
point is they our great cars but everything down to the leather is poor quality they dont stand the test of time thats all.

2012 CTS-V
Regarding the wall, the new owners took it down. Not 100% sure why but I think it had to do with street car owners complaining they were not able to avoid the water box and the new owners wanted a new look.

Where did he compare it to an E55? Your comment is dumber than you state his is. You yourself just finished saying the E63's interior is nicer. I love the V's interior and would not compare it to a Prius but I CAN compare it to an E63/CLS63 and it pails in comparison. Is there not a CTS forum that can harbor you so that you can go away and stop trolling here?
And your right, I said the NEW E63 interior is better. To say your 2003ish interior is nicer then a 2009 up V is just stupid.
Puerto rican a$$ clown on point.
