Misfire at idle

Looking for suggestions re rough idle, 2003 E55. Stage 1 Ec tune.

Cloud of blue smoke very occasionally at start up.

Car runs 300k+(indicated) so pulls strong etc.

Any ideas, faulty injector......?

Thanks

Not yet.

All electrics test fine, have tested for airleaks etc....

Suspect injector but have started with the simple things first.

go to a autozone or pep boys and use their scanner and see which cylinder it is..

should be between P0300-P03008

last number indicates which cylinder, if its only one then take the injector and swap with another and see if it happens again

Thanks for your interest.

Have carried out scan with the following results.

P202B-2
P2045
P2043
Lamda control 3 way Cat 7/8 not reading.

2ndary cats have been deleted.

Can injectors be removed without removing s/c ?

Could this be something EC could assist with perhaps...?

Cheers

none of those are misfires

idle control and redact temp sensor and solenoid

ask if EC can help could be in the tune or else can have to do with your throttle body or bypass valve

Not certain that it is a misfire.

I think I will remove injectors and test, does this require s/c/ removal...?

I would obtain a compression gauge and do a check of all the cylinders to see if the pressure are all within 10-15% of each other.
I have a feeling that you have some unbalanced cylinder compressions which could contribute to the rough idle since you did not have any misfires .

Maybe bad motor or transmission mounts making you think it is a misfire?

2007 C230 sport
07 C230 misfiring at low RPM's

My 07 C230 sport has 110k miles on it. Changed the spark plugs just because of the miles on the original ones. The next day I was passing a car and the check engine light ( it was already on) started blinking and then it seemed to drop off a cylinder and run very rough. Drive a few more miles, shut it off for a min or two, then re-started it and it ran smooth (until the next time) The codes I'm getting are 0301, 0410, 0331, and 0351. I've checked the plug wires to make sure they're on tight. The plugs I used were Autolite Iridiums cause Autozone didn't have the Bosch ones but that shouldn't matter should it? I've heard everything from a bad coil pack, fuel press reg, vacuum line, MAF sensor, throttle pos sensor etc... Need to try something just not sure what to try first. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all
