Yes, the M5 will be there this year, only it will be in a different form. Last year it was on the stock block and 600rwhp through a V2 SI Trim. This year it will have a built bottom end with a F1 R huffer at 20lbs+.

They advised against burnouts last year, but the third car that lined up lit the tires. And the rest of the day, most people would at least do a light burnout to scrub the tires.
They do give you the option to launch from a dig, or to roll out. But the problem with rolling is the start is seldom "even"... every time there was one guy that would jump before the other one reached the cone, LOL

And yes, RedBullJunky needs to be here!!!!

Here's a post from last year's thread...

In that post is a PDF that shows the speeds from the day. Based on that, I think 160's are a bit optimistic for the E55s... Mid 150's should be easily doable though. Some nice Benzes showed up that day -- would love to see more this year!
I'll be happy if I can crack 140, but I'm thinking realistically I'll be high 130's.
The car show alone is simply awesome to behold... Don't miss out on this one!
that is actually my goal for this is to top 160 a 10 mph increase over last yr.
registration opens at midnight april 5 if you are thinking of attending
heres a pdf of all the attending cars from last yrs event . this yr is also a 2 day event limited to 125 cars per day. personally i think its one of the best events of the entire southeast. no excuses run what you got as many times as you want. vp racing will also be there with any kind of fuel you want from 103 unleaded to c16 and everything inbetween.
be aware this is a very small town maybe 3 red lights. i think maybe 3 motels total but many folks have cabin rentals available. check the site for lodging. last yr had 130? cars and over 1000 spectators!

The 15th is my wedding anniversary.
We'll see. Maybe that would be my gift from her.
The down side, she would probly want to party somewhere. So if that town is that small, it might not work. Who knows.
Craig
topspeed performance is bringing all the big guns to try to top ams big run at 214 mph in chicago in june. twin turbo lambo gallardo and about 4 huge gtr's (1200 rwhp+) so bring the muscle!!
Am I missing something ? like when Craig won the trophy I missed the point that the track was in a very bad condition , is something similar wrong here ?
time for 55 calipers. Have fun and post vids.
No big shop cars, just two guys that want to go CRAZY fast.
