My fix to the "gas tank" problem

Man, this issue really pisses me off. I've read about the "gas tank issues" on here for over the year that I've had it and think the other day I was smelling that gas smell inside my car. It was about 105 degrees here in Phoenix and I'm pretty sure something was amiss... Hasn't happened again though and that was the only time... I really don't want to deal with this

good fix,
on mine there is no fuel smell, the problem was fuel pump failing to deliver after 5500 rpm, but after opening the cover noticed a pool of fuel on the right side fuel pump and the wiring starting to deform, which is a sign of the pump failing as its drawing too much current.
I opted to replace both pumps which are being fitted next week, also replacing the seals.

Was it just the melted wires to the fuel pump?
