Lower via airmatic sensor?

I've searched the Internet and couldn't find an answer for this. I know about Star, washer method, lowering links and ELM, but I saw my tuner adjust something behind each front wheel to lower the front of my car when it was stock. I now have rims and would like to lower the front a little bit more. Is my tuner adjusting the airmatic sensor some how? How would I do this myself? My tuner is about 50 miles away and I don't want to drive all the way down there just for this. Any help or DIY would be helpful. I don't want to use the washer method as that seems iffy to me.

I'm guessing he did something akin to the washer method. Maybe bent the bracket?

Yea not sure. It took him a couple of minutes on each side. Didn't see him bending anything. Does it take much force to do that? If I look, is it something I can see and tell its been bent? Sorry for the newb Q's.

You sure he didn't add washers to each side?

FTR, I've had 2 washers on each side on the front for 2 years now with no issues.

I have washers up front also (on top of star lowered), it is stupid to think there is some danger in it. There is a stud that the washers go on and the nut tightened back up, it may sound crazy, but washers are put on bolts/studs before a nut on damn near everything And like mentioned, the rear sensor bracket can be bent a little to make the rear sit lower for a free lowering job back there.

The only thing that can go wrong with the washer method is if the nut on the front sensors isn't tightened back down well. If it comes undone, that's an issue.

Pretty much this. They aren't load bearing parts in any way. Just put blue loctite on the bolt when you tighten it back down, and you're good to go.

I don't really understand why people pay $500+ to lower these cars. There's no reason to.
