Did MBH Motorsports go out of business?
I wanted to inquire about a set of headers for my car and emailed/left a voicemail but have not heard anything back from him.
I thought this was unusual since threads in the past said he was pretty responsive

I believe Markcali has a used set that have only been on his car for 400 miles. You may want to send him a PM so see what he wants for them.

Hi Mike, can you update me on the status of my G55 catted test pipes that I paid for in April please? I tried contacting you for an update but without success also. I decided to wait for the catted pipes before installing your long tubes. Thanks in advance.

I am losing faith in these guys.
Ordered the headers a little over two weeks ago and can't get the courtesy of a return phone call or email with a simple status update.
Others who have dealt with MBH in the past, is this normal?

Mike is a stand up guy. Great to deal with. I have a set on my car and love them. We had a fitment issue at one point on my car, He immediately was on it and sent a new header out to me without even returning the one that was on the car first. So the car really had no down time. As soon as I removed the old header I sent it back to him. Done deal. A ++

Thanks. The reason I ask is because headers seem to result in a low end torque loss from what I've read and talked to people about (although slight, the loss the there) since boost drops a bit.
So, you're saying the grunt down low increases and doesn't lose any torque whatsoever?

I just mentioned this on the thread about kleemans for sale. I said that I have decided to ditch the headers mod for me bc of hearing about the low end torque loss. It seems that everyone says that it is true...I don't know but will wait for responses from people who have experience with this. I will not listen to the companies, no offense guys, only the customers with pretty much stockish cars. I know that with pullies and throttle bodies etc. etc., that it should help. Only remembering what I have read and I have put headers on stockish cars and not much gain. I will listen some more though...I am no expert here...that's for sure.
My concern is the torque loss in the low range. Bone stock, the car has A LOT of low grunt. Opening up the exhaust, although gaining quite a bit in the mid and upper range, loses some in the low range.
I agree that I would rather hear guys with just headers on an otherwise stock car (stock pulley, stock tb etc.) will chime in. I am talking strictly headers and a tune.

I Love my Mike pipes.. With that being said you are in Bruce's area I suggest you head over to TTM and ask him what he thinks.. I already know the answer.. He probably has the most knowledge on this pltform over anyone..
P.S. Look at my sig... Good luck..

I have spoken to Bruce a few times and was going to do it (still may go with them) but I have heard so many other things as well. I know that Bruce knows what he is doing, he tuned my car and it was a very good inexpensive plus. I will see him again when I am a little less busy but wanted to see the reaction here again. I even thought of doing MBH.

I will say, the MBH headers - besides being eye candy - have a better, more exotic note than the Kleemann headers. I don't mean the note coming out the mufflers, but the sound coming out from underneath the car and through the firewall. You'll find yourself driving with the window down and radio off just to hear that sound emanating from the primaries.

I installed the MBH headers not long ago and can give you my impression and observations. At part-throttle, low RPM (blower not engaged), the torque feels softer. A tune somewhat helps this as it seems to make the throttle map more sensitive. I think you grow accustom to it though.

What is your power opinion?
