Well if your next to a car and you both nail it and you pull away it doesn't matter ,and you don't really care. but if the other car is out front I believe you know to the penny what you spent ,along with some curse words starting with mother and then your day is ruined.

Someone needs to close this thread.

If I keep seeing it pop up I will eventually add it all up.

Then I would never be able to look my dear sweet wife in the eyes again

I don't have any real problem with my car just do regular stuff....
Both battery $200
Rear Tires $400 include installed
Water pump $400
Engine\ tranny oil change $1300 for the lat 4 years
Spark plugs $200
Coolant flash $100
Valve gasket seal $240
Engine mount $1k (stupid dealer)

My next thing is to do the coilover conversion before my airmatic goes bad and that will cost around $3K. Better handling and dont have to worry the airmatic anymore.

In the last 7 months and 7,000 miles of ownership, I think around $2,500 spent.

All of it has been catching up on maintenance that was neglected before I purchased that I feel was about par for a car with 71,000 miles on the clock and a couple of performance/reliability goodies along the way. I also saved a butt load by being a master tech and doing all my own work (read: stunts) and buying parts at cost or less depending where the deals were.

So far, I've replaced all motor mounts, oil pump, valve cover gaskets, pano roof motor, rear tires, both front inner tie rods, front camber bolts, rear main seal, trans filter and gasket with fluid change, both belts, a weak starter, aux battery, voltage regulator (didn't need it yet, but the brushes were worn down pretty good), and a radiator flush. As for upgrades, just a PLM HE, CM30, secondary cat and resonator delete with x-pipe, lowering module, and some lighting upgrades.

Hah! just did some quick math...I have spent almost $2,000 in just gas for the last 7 months and I don't even drive it every day.
