I'm not a fan of all black wheels as the wheel and tire tend to run together into one blob of black.

Gloss or black doesn't matter. Either your wheels match when the tires are dirty or when you shine the tires. :p
On a side note, I had my Mustang wheels painted for $400, instead of powdercoated, and they have held up beautifully over the years. No chips whatsoever.

I'm going to have my wheels and calipers coated for probably less then $400, they won't chip that easy.

Thats pretty good pricing for $400. I got my HRE 19s powder coated and cost $700 for everything. Dismount old tire, break down rims, PC, mount/balance new tires.

cost for me was 400: an excellent job too, they still don't have a scratch to this day! had mine done in a satin finish.......
then I bought some glossy's from HRE which I like a lot more.........
something to consider would be the finish..........
good luck!
