You get the cable from them, and the software. You pull your ECU's information, email a file to them, they tune your file, and send it back to you, you upload it to car. Pretty simple. Great mod for the money!

...I am currently bone stock & thinking this could be step one to hold me for a while. As many others, this is my DD and I can't risk too much to it...but I know modding is like a drug...it starts as just a taste 
then next thing you know it's an all out full blown addiction!

A box tune on a 100% stock E55 will improve driveability quite a bit.
My 2006 would have little "surge" or "jumpiness" issues at light throttle around town. The EC tune took care of those. The TCU tune helps the car to hold the correct gear better and makes it less vague about when it shifts. Both were money well spent.

It will be a good little boost to the stock file. Faster shifting, better torque etc. No harshness with the car just better overall performance

Now drive a stocker lol....you never really realize how it was as you get used to the new power etcsame price, as the older cables need to be modified via windows drivers to work with the new system

So there is no set period when this sale ends?
Im stock now but lets say I get some long tube headers down the road do you guys have a tune for that also? If so how much is that?
And Im assuming we have to have PC to make this work and a Mac won't do.

this has been pretty much answered in this thread. my car is 100% stock and I have the tune. He will send you a tune file based on the modifications you already have, or if your car is completely stock. It is my understanding that he will adjust your tune via Email, as you add performance parts like headers, or a pully.

If I have the lifetime tunes and a cable already how much more for this software??? I got the cable during the 2012 black Friday sale, is this the older cable that needs upgrading?

Retunes for future mods is not a problem, there is nothing we haven't seen before. There is a small retune fee $50 for mods.
We have a mac version as well!

the cable will have to have the drivers changed etc to get it to work with the new software. Send us an email!

hey are you guys back in the office now?? because i called last week i don't know what day it was but 7 or 8 times and no one answered the phone and it was during businesses hours as well. I was in the middle of data logging and couldn't get it going so i just gave up after no one answering the phone and me being stuck.
