cheap plastic one is gappy. ill get my star back when they come out with a nice cl grill that fits inside the hood instead of over the hood.

i just put my plastic flat badge on this weekend but there was a slight front and rear gap plus i thought it looked kinda big not fitting in the whole. so when i get a new grill i wont have redundant stars and my badge is flush and metal. just my preference!

yeah, i got 1/4 way through making the slots 3x the size and after 45 minutes i was like, wtf??? its beer:30 on labor day and im dickin' with this???

its actually the one that came with the car. open hood twist bottom side 1/4 turn, remove. get a dremel and cut the spring at the bottom of unit, star falls off. grind out rubber bowl that the star itself used to bottom out and swivel on. go to lowes/home depot buy a 1/2" chrome cap. the kind that has tangs on them that can be bent out. snap it in place. replace.
