The only reason Hennessey is around is because of douchebags like Jay Leno and the like that pay him a$$loads of money to mod the hell out of their cars (didn't Leno just have Hennessey build his CTS-V recently?).

But you're right, TTM/Bruce sounds like Hennessey's style. I know a handful of local Viper/Vette guys that want his head on a stick for ripping them off for huge amounts of dough.

I'm guilty of drinking the TTM juice. I willingly paid the outrageous price for his mods believing that these mods were somewhat superior to other brands. What can i say Bruce knows how to sell his product and I was foolish enough to pay those prices. Shame on me. (TTM Fuel rail, AR headers, and intake tubes). Furthermore, I can't complain because he did deliver my mods in a timely fashion and was available to answer my questions. Like many on here I am shocked that this happened, but I now realize that I was foolish enough to allow myself to pay so much for products that didn't necessarily live up to the hype.

Unfortunately it's not just this vendor,I recently paid $$ for some suspension parts, took 6 weeks to get after paying in full, charged me NYS sales tax when I indicated I have a sales tax number for my shop ,they are in another state and to my knowledge don't have a dist in NY ,the components came with no directions, not a big deal but they should have indicated which way a tapered spacer faced, and there was a slight clearance problem where the brackets mount to the sub frame, when I tried to call there is no phone number on website and contact info on PayPal phone number says the person you are trying to reach has not set up his voicemail,so anyway I had to adjust my floor pan slightly so the components fit ,reminded me of the old days with a set of blackjack headers Get out the hammer. So I e-mailed my concerns and disappointment to the vendor and they responded by saying the reason they don't give directions is in case someone "a DIY guy"screws up they are not held liable ? And I should have a qualified MB tech do the job "lol" the job is take the rear tires off move the exhaust "2 clamps and the center bolt that connects the rear exhaust together" 6 bolts and an alignment ,
And they don't have a phone because of annoying calls, But he did ask me to send him a pic of where the clearance problem was ,let me think about that hmmmm I don't think so I wouldn't want to be held liable for someone following my "DIY "install ,I left him my number to call me ,no call just an e mail 7 hrs later gee thanks. Won't be doing business with this company again, sorry for the rambling and typos my I pad has a mind of its own. On a positive note they gave me 2 awesome stickers promoting their product.please don't ask who it was I'm not gonna trash the company on here just venting.

BTW Sales Tax is collected as usage tax of the retailer in a brick and mortar shop, so no matter where you live tax is paid. I understand you have a retailers tax certificate. If you used Bruces shop than you would pay have sales tax. Even if you had a shop someone along the way would still have to pay tax on it. He should have only charged you tax on goods not services. So any labor wouldnt be taxable. BTW isnt there some sort of agreement of sales tax collection between NY,NJ, and PA?

Me thinks hes running a racket on the sales tax. I know a lot of shops that charge sales tax on the full amount when it should be on materials/resold goods only. Its a common tactic to squeeze a dollar out of the customer.

Cnterline: That's ridiculous man. The vendor should at least have someone available for phone customer support. Basically this company is just out to make a buck and don't want to liable for anything. Also, they would probably ignore you or try to find some fault of yours if you tried to return this product.

Then what's your point of posting in THIS thread which is for TTM/Bruce? And why tell the forum not to ask who it is? Would you rather others get the same BS runaround as you?

If you want to vent, create your own thread and don't clutter this one, especially if it has nothing to do with TTM/Bruce AND you choose not to reveal the company/person.

TTM

This situation with Kevino7 and Bruce TTM has really shown what he was really about "GETTING PAID" and yes I bought some of those overprice parts too, so far their working great ,, so I was just lucky .. It seems like the tuner high performance world vendors, performance shops, parts makers all at sometime have taken people for a financial ride, the CUSTOMER always loses in some way... Whether it parts or service .. It almost the nature of the beast , the system is literally set-up for being ripped-off. Everytime I buy a performance part that's the thing I think about am I going to get what I paid for and does it "REALLY WORK" as they claim...

I have no dog in this fight but I didn't drink the ttm after the first 5 min of talking to him 3 years ago when I needed a tune.He said his tune was from a company called pes tuning and he wanted 2k for his tune. When I started asking about it he said his tune will cover cams-huge pulley and was the best option out there, ohh man how I wanted to just laugh at him and I played it dumb and pretending to eat up what he was saying. He couldn't even tell me how much timing advanced was in his tune and wanted me to use some mickey mouse 02 extenders to get rid of the check engine light from not having cats.

at that very second on the phone I new this guy was a joke and saw a thread of 930chas with his car and he had nothing but tuning problems with his pes(pos tune)from bruce.

10 min after getting off the phone from him I called kleemann and never looked back.

He was basically **** talking about every tuner on here and ohh man what he had to say about jerry and the eurocharged guys.Iv had my fun building my car and they have come a long way to where they are now and honestly wished they were at the level they are now when I was trying to get my car up and running with them back in the day.

that guy was playing both sides and would try to sell you anything and everything making you think its the best crap out there and I almost believed his box tune from pes would run fine on my car with cams and no cats.I almost blew 2k for that tune and kleemann only charged me 1199 and did an update once for free.

He then comes on here telling me he was the one to fix the 82mm tb by using star and Jerry can chime in because I clearly remember telling him and texting back and forth like 4 years ago trying to get eurocharged tb kit to work right and my car was very picky on the tps% and Jerry and the eurochargered crew were going to send me a star unit to try and see if upping the throttle would fix the codes.

this was all done behind the sceens and I think I have my old cell phone from 4 years ago with these texts saved on it.

I remember those days a few years back. My freinds CLS was the first one to feature the TTM looped fuel rail and EC tune.

I'm willing to bet nothing is going come out of this and Bruce will just open another company name/business and things will blow over in a year. The OP will have to learn the hard way not to just send money to someone in another country (especially the amount he did send; seriously, who sends that kind of money overseas without something concrete?).

I still have a gut feeling that we are not getting the full story on the OP, Bruce, and what exactly happened between them. And maybe that is because of legal actions, but still, some things are not adding up. People don't just send $18K to someone without something tangible, right? God, I would hope not.

Good point. I would never sent out $18K just like that unless buying a car ! Our car worth $20K - $30K (CLS) today and spending $18K for mod only is crazy. Plus, it was multiple payment through paypal and CASH by mail.

Hey guys.

OP I pray you get your situation resolved.

Now that TTM is no longer around, or hiding, or whatever, can we rip off his scoops?

If someone would send me their set I will take it to a fabricator out here and get copies made. I will sell them at 0 profit. They can't cost more than $20-$30 with materials and labor. I mean, one guy folding sheet metal can make 20 sets in an hour? Imagine if every member here had a set?? It would be great. In fact, we should have a pay it forward thread and give out a set for free to every new member that joins this community.

BTW, if the TTM scoop blueprint/idea/design belongs to another sponsor here, I am truly sorry about the above comment and I was just kidding. If not, let's seriously do it.
