What are the benefits of the TTM scoops anyway.. well, besides cosmetics and jaw dropping at car get togethers with hoods popped.

at that very second on the phone I new this guy was a joke and saw a thread of 930chas with his car and he had nothing but tuning problems with his pes(pos tune)from bruce.

10 min after getting off the phone from him I called kleemann and never looked back.

He was basically **** talking about every tuner on here and ohh man what he had to say about jerry and the eurocharged guys.Iv had my fun building my car and they have come a long way to where they are now and honestly wished they were at the level they are now when I was trying to get my car up and running with them back in the day.

that guy was playing both sides and would try to sell you anything and everything making you think its the best crap out there and I almost believed his box tune from pes would run fine on my car with cams and no cats.I almost blew 2k for that tune and kleemann only charged me 1199 and did an update once for free.

He then comes on here telling me he was the one to fix the 82mm tb by using star and Jerry can chime in because I clearly remember telling him and texting back and forth like 4 years ago trying to get eurocharged tb kit to work right and my car was very picky on the tps% and Jerry and the eurochargered crew were going to send me a star unit to try and see if upping the throttle would fix the codes.

this was all done behind the sceens and I think I have my old cell phone from 4 years ago with these texts saved on it.

I find this lecture about honesty and integrity hysterically funny.

Maybe the reason you couldn't get good advice from vendors is because you didn't mention that your E55 has a top-secret SLR motor swap....

Now that TTM is no longer around, or hiding, or whatever, can we rip off his scoops?

If someone would send me their set I will take it to a fabricator out here and get copies made. I will sell them at 0 profit. They can't cost more than $20-$30 with materials and labor. I mean, one guy folding sheet metal can make 20 sets in an hour? Imagine if every member here had a set?? It would be great. In fact, we should have a pay it forward thread and give out a set for free to every new member that joins this community.

BTW, if the TTM scoop blueprint/idea/design belongs to another sponsor here, I am truly sorry about the above comment and I was just kidding. If not, let's seriously do it.
We (or I) were always told that the TTM scoops had a patent pending. After recent events I am led to believe that may not be the case. Fabtech copied them but they were not metal but FRP and i think he printed them with a 3-D printer. I think that may be our best bet is printing them in 3D and using that as a template to make out of steel or aluminum. The TTM units were made out of metal and welded. They were not the best welds. Your talking about bending the aluminum like it was duct work on a press.

I dont think they will be sold at $20-30 each. Maybe if you ran a production of a 1000 qty?

Oh, Greg, you didn't know? Every 55K motor makes SLR power with a pulley and tune.

moose - can you elaborate on the benefits of the TTM scoops? From a performance perspective...thank you, sir.

some people say that to make people shy away from doing it. not sure how you could even patent it to make others not do it plus the roughly $6000 cost to do so. that would be interesting if made on a printer as that's not very cheap to do. I can get these done, im looking to make a set for my car anway. obv im not a sponsor but I sure as **** know they can be done for way less then was being charged. def not 20-30 per set fully welded, too much time into. at least if made in USA

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I wouldn't expect to hear from Bruce anytime soon on this forum. Soon as the OP lawyered up everything he says on here would be admissible in court so he wouldn't incriminate himself on here discussing it.

Just an FYI for everyone else adding testimonials about TTM in this thread don't be surprised if you get subpoenaed to court for it.

Question though: How do you give someone 4K in cash without putting it in their hand?

I dont doubt Bruce had a markup upwards of 100% on these. I believe Mike Kuzni knew the guy who had made it for Bruce. Might be a lead.

I've been looking to get some high quality vinyl or polyurethane stickers with a reflective AMG logo to go over that junk label on there.

Where are we at on these scoops?? Someone please post detailed pics with measurements of each fold. Also what the hole in the back looks like, measurement as well of the diameter.

What should we have logo read? Someone good on PS want to design something cool? It can be the first ever MBWorld member collaboration.

Again, this will be a NON FOR PROFIT project that we can all have some say in.

I'm surprised our Chinese friends overseas haven't fabricated something identical to the TTM Scoops as of yet. Or maybe I'm wrong on that notion , regardless I'm in line with the rest of you guys who are looking to get there hands on a pair of Scoops.

P.S to the OP, keep your head up high what comes around goes around. I"m surprised Paypal didn't cover your loss even if you chose the option for goods, I'm assuming Paypal gives you coverage.....

Got a spare set of "TTM" scoops sitting here and access to 2 Chinese fabricators. If folks are actually serious, I can get these TTM scoops into China in 4-5 days and get a quote back in about 48hours after that

One factory's previous work for me:

They also do intercoolers, heat exchangers, blah blah blah, and are SEMA participants.

An MQC of 100 in steel, with only 1 single painted color (not powdercoat) would probably be needed, and getting the set (INCLUDING SCREWS THAT FIT GDAMNIT.. ) landed into West coast USA shouldn't cost more than $30-35 Add a bit of packaging/shipping to CONUS folks, call it $45 into everybody's mailbox? Or is that still too expensive for 4 pieces of TIG welded steel plates? Someone else on the board can even handle the payment/distribution. (I just need my production deposit back in full).

Really rough numbers here as I don't have the scoops at the desk, but we can think of this part as the crowdsourced/kickstarter "MBW's very own air thingies that do nothing" (no TM, no PP).

For 45 bux I'd be completely in. Honestly if they are any color it should be black (neutral) and then folks can rattle can them/pay to have them powdercoated in any color they want. It will still be wayyyyy cheaper than the TTm scoops. Slap on some 8 dollar Ebay AMG stickers and we're golden.
